Just got around to listening to this review and now I seriously want to see it though I'll probably have trouble convincing friends to join me for a screening. Then again, I don't even know if I'll find a screening of this unless I spend my days trying to find some random midnight showing
FUCK YOU....for my review rating......THAT'S ALL
this goes in to the pantheon of great reviews next to fireflies in the garden
@Borey Boleman Trolls will be trolls. There are so many fallacies in your argument I don't even want to reply. And you clearly did not listen to the entire review, you speak of the training montage as if they didn't bring it up in the review itself and actually give their thoughts about it. smh.
@Borey Boleman : No, this is still your opinion. Just because you find a pattern does not mean that pattern will stay a pattern. You have taken a film you have never seen and boiled it down to " bad acting movie based on Dance Dance Revolution."
You have no way of knowing that's all there is to the film as you haven't seen it. Perhaps their review doesn't flesh out how and why the Spill crew came to their ratings enough for you but that doesn't mean you can assume they're lying about their opinions.
Patterns don't mean shit in any form of criticism. Two films could have similar plots with similar attributes but little touches and quirks can mean all of the difference in the world.
We're also talking about human beings. Perhaps they saw the film in a different view, perhaps they took in what they saw in a different way then your mind did. People, also, change over time. Just because you can pull reviews from years ago and find patterns doesn't mean the Spill crew is the same group of people they were back then.
There's a litany of reasons that could lead to their opinions. Just because you believe you can " pretty much can figure out what the types of movies they admire and what they despise" doesn't mean you can and doesn't mean you can account for factors that may have been in the film YOU HAVEN'T SEEN.
You can find what people generally life and dislike, sure. However, there are always exceptions for any number of reasons. You're assertions that the Spill crew lacks true integrity only shows your ignorance of perception and no understanding of the very complex art of film.
@Borey Boleman the irony and critical flaw in your argument is that you haven't seen the film. Rather you watched a trailer and assumed the movie is shit. Do you even know what bias even means? Wait did you even listen to this review? It's not even like they gave it a huge sweeping positive recommendation.
P.s. Balls of fury is a movie mentioned in this very review which has a very wonkey premise and the spill crew gave it a decent review. Dance flick was another film that also got a generally positive review from the co-host at least.
What... in... the... WORLD?! THE DARKNESS IS SPREADING!!!
What? Wait, what? Because you're point of view, you're definition of good, does not include over the top films about DDR, you're first course of action is say they're bias? Because they like guys at the theater who screened it?
Film is an art form. Nothing is truly good or truly bad. There is no definite good and bad. Hell, I know a guy who LIKED Highlander 2. There's always exceptions and your opinions are not laws. They liked a film you haven't even SEEN but will refuse to. There's no crime or bias involved in that. So, please, get your head out of your asshole.
Unless this was a trolling attempt. If so, good job. If not, go to hell.
P.S. Anyone who knew what a knagaroo court is without googling it gets extra XP and the satisfaction that History class did teach them something besides, you know, everything else.
@ Borey Boleman: SHUT THE FUCK UP!
