I loved this movie, this was awesome! I don't agree with alot of your points here but I do realize that I went into this movie expecting what it was, Rocky with robots and I friggin' loved it!

And actually, I do think the elements worked quite well, I really felt for Hugh Jackman when he had to leave his kid for that hoe,

Also, don't diss Transfromers, the second and third ones were really bad but the first one was solid.

That was the first thing that I thought when I saw the trailer. Robots are going to replace real people fighting people? Bullshiiit. No matter what people are always going to be interested in seeing real people beat each other up, it's an art like any other, it's like saying photography will replace painting.

 

But good to hear it's a fun movie anyway. Reminds me of Night at the Museun, the premise looked so promising and it was still okay, but still disappointed that it could have been better, the second one was worse. It's like his films are always stuck in that range.

I gave this film a matinee. It was nice and I enjoyed parts of it.

highly enjoyable

puts a cool, slick feel to the sports genre

the special effects convinced me alot and the characters were spot on

the emotional stuff could have been dwindled down a bit, to me it slowed down the story

but by the end I was clapping and cheering

its Rock 'em Sock 'em Robots for little children :)

This is a Full Price for me all the way. I thought this movie would only be a rental, but damn was I wrong.

Personally, I loved this film.  Everything that y'all complained about didn't really bother me very much because, I think, I walked into this movie expecting a corny, underdog-rising-to-the-top kind of story.  And that's exactly what I was given.

 

The animation of this movie was solid, with fantastic looking fight scenes.  Each punch that hit its target was cringe worthy.  I could feel the impact that these robots delivered. 

 

Pretty solid film in my opinion.  I'm gonna have to give it a Full Price.
