Was I only one who felt that Ben Affleck's storyline was a shorter and less sappy version of "Jersey Girl"?

I hadn't wanted to see this until now. But now I do but maybe I'll stop it at the last 10 minutes. I'll pretend the Coen brothers did the ending.

I have been interested in seeing this film ever since I saw the trailer a couple of months ago. Good to hear the Ben Affleck isn't being so 'bad that you want to punch in the face awful' compared to some of this performances. I will probably see this a some point, but will probably wait until it is on DVD, and rent it then.

Deus ex machina is latin and it translates as. "God from the Machine".  In early Greek plays when the drama was coming to a head, a God or Cultural figure would descend from heaven to resolve whatever problems there were.  One of the best examples of early writers lampooning the use of the Deus Ex Machina which was made popular by Euripides this is "The Clouds", by Aristophanes in which Socrates descends from the sky in a basket to initiate a new student in the wasteful pursuit of philisophical education.

Ben Affleck looks way older here than in the Town.

It looks entertaining enough.. Whenever Tommy Lee Jones asks someone in a film if they're in on a potential investment, then you should "feel it in your blood" that they'll succeed.

Hey, this might be the movie for me seeing as how I was recently laid off.  I'll give it a shot as soon as I can find some cash.  Off to the sofa cushions once again.

It's interesting how you guys sometimes talk like you are powerless to the rating you give a movie.
