Fox Cancels 'King Of The Hill' But Renews 'American Dad'
After several previous brushes with cancellation, Fox has opted not to renew veteran animated comedy "King of the Hill" beyond its current 13th season.
In April, Fox picked up 13 more episodes from the 20th Century Fox TV-produced show, which are wrapping production.

David Lindsay-Abaire To Write 'Spider-Man 4'

Samuel L. Jackson To Play The Shogun Of Harlem
Samuel L. Jackson is set to star as the bad guy in Columbia Pictures' remake of Berry Gordy's 1985 cult classic The Last Dragon, says The Hollywood Reporter. Jackson will play Sho'nuff, the Shogun of Harlem, a role played in the original by the late Julius Carry.

'Melrose Place' To Follow In '90210' Footsteps
Variety says that as the new version of "90210" continues to post decent numbers, The CW and CBS Paramount Network TV are exploring the possibility of reviving "Melrose Place" as well.

20th Century Fox has set a Christmas Day 2009 release date for Alvin and the Chipmunks: The Squeakuel. It will face Disney's new animated The Princess and the Frog on that day.
