With Michael Jackson's shocking and tragic death continuing to send shockwaves to the nation, some people are actually thinking that a biopic on the King Of Pop may soon be in the works, which wouldn't be hard to believe.

'Transformers' Opens To $16 Million

Michael Bay's Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen grossed an estimated $16 million in midnight runs, the third-best ever after The Dark Knight and Star Wars: Episode III Revenge of the Sith.

Fox Hires Writer For 'Hitman' Sequel

IESB reports that 20th Century Fox has hired writer Kyle Ward to write the sequel to 2007's Hitman, which made almost $100 million worldwide.



The first film, based on the video game, was directed by Xavier Gens and stars Timothy Olyphant, Dougray Scott, Olga Kurylenko, Robert Knepper, Ulrich Thomsen and Michael Offei.

Julianne Hough Confirmed For 'Footloose' Remake

'Mission Impossible IV' Targeted For 2011

News broke last week that Star Trek helmer J.J. Abrams is going to produce Mission: Impossible IV after directing the third installment.

TBS May Pick Up My Name Is Earl

Twentieth Century Fox TV is in talks with TBS about a possible 13-episode pickup of "My Name Is Earl." TBS already carries "Earl" reruns.

The talks for new episodes are said to be in the very preliminary stages, and it's far from certain that a deal will be reached, reports Variety.
