Note:there's gonna be
SPOILERS for both watchmen, and death note. You were warned. Ok,so any anime fan worth his super-sayian-goku-hair-hat has probably read "Death Note",or watched the anime. And any comic fan worth his spider-man underwear(don't act like it ain't true!)has probably read "Watchmen." Both very good books, and they also both have something in common:they both have psycho evil geniuses. But if those psycho evil genius decided to pit their smarts against each other, who…

If you watched the news, 2009 was a dark and morbid year.
I could write a whole obituary, but you know it's 2010 and I don't have a lot of time on my hands. Thankfully lots of great films were released to counter those blues, and 2009 made up for the number I saw in 2008. But isn't it awkward when you're at the box office, on the spot over what eyeball-pleasing movie to see, and times a-wasting? Life is short!
In total I managed to catch 29 movies; shows what wicked!cool…

Ladies and Gentleman, here it is, not the best movies of this year but of the decade. Also, not to mention some real Dogs that really disappointmented me. You are free to comment or anything you feel free to...
I noticed in Rolling Stone some of the choices made and have to agree on some of them
1.I'm tied between The Departed and Gran Torino as my top favorites of the decade, both had great scripts and legendary acting, one won the critics and academy awards while Gran…

This year in movies has been full of surprises (District 9) and letdowns (Year One, Transformers 2) but I thought I'd put out my favorite films of '09 so far. Remember this is a FAVORITES lit not a best of list. With that out of the way, let's begin.
#5

Halloween II
I know I'm in the minority here, but I absolutely loved Rob Zombie's remake of Halloween. People complain that Michael Myers didn't need a back story and they're…

2009 has been a decent year so far. More of the films have been mediocre, but there have been some excellent gems and horrific abominations against humanity. So, let's go with a good news-bad news scenario and start with the bad.
EDIT: I can only put movies on here I have seen. As of this edit, Funny People is the most recent movie I've seen (though District 9 looks awesome!)

I think faithfulness is very important because im tired of hollywood screwing up comic book characters like venom, galactus, and deadpool just so they can say "oh hey we know we screwed up so lets make a spin off movie where we can get the characters right and milk more money from the fans". However if the director can make it work like with Iron Man or Watchmen or even The Dark Knight then i'll have no problem with it. Very rarely i will accept huge changes like transformers for example (which…

Two of my most anticipated films of '09 came out this Tuesday on DVD;
Watchmen &
Coraline. Being the film led consumer that I am, I contributed to the system by buying them. I wonder if they're any different from theater to home viewing? Let's dive into it...

I've been looking forward to this one for a long time, I love the movie version of Watchmen. The directors cut only makes it better, not to mention this is a 3-DISC Blu-Ray! Granted that 3rd disc is just the digital copy of the movie. But on with the review!

Let me start by saying that the directors cut
IS the superior version of the film without a doubt in my mind. It's way better with those 24 minutes put back in. It's great…
