When it was first announced that there would be some changes to Cap’s costume by time we saw it in the Avengers film, no one really knew what those changes would be or how they would affect the overall look and feel of the character. Then concept art surfaced showing off the new suit and I thought, it looks decent in…
Now that it's been in theaters for a week (and presumably because it was already leaked within hours of the first showing), Marvel has released a new clip from 'Captain America: The First Avenger' which shows (*cough*spoils*cough*) the final moments of the film, and a short snippet of the post-credit…
While we sadly couldn't cover everything at Comic Con this year (we'd need a team of fifty with all the news that arrives every minute), we had a lot of fun and enjoyed our brief stay in "geek central". Here's some highlights from the weekend's events:
Appearing all over the internet, we have screenshots of The Lizard in Marc Webb's 'The Amazing Spider-Man', and video of the panel in which…
In this video blog I take a look at my favorite comic artists, who in my opinion are the best at drawing certain characters and other things. Tell me what you think. Do you agree or disagree ? Who is your favorite artist… Continue
"And there came a day, a day unlike any other, when several superhero stories found themselves united in a single article. On that day, 'Superhero Stories' was born - to contain the film and TV news no single blog post could withstand! Heed the call, then - for now...
I'm posting this right now so when it inevitably happens I can say "I told you so." I just watched the Wondercon video for the Green Lantern movie. First up, the video
Now, even with the problems I have (I'll excuse Ryan Reynolds but really? THAT'S how you made the lantern battery look?) it looks like a lot of fun, that is until I saw two things that look like… Continue
Masked Anti-Hero's blog post inspired me to leave a comment.... That comment ended up being a solid 700 words long, so... I decided to do this with it. I decided to make a blog post! So here's my own personal Top 5 Superhero Films Of The Decade; I hope you enjoy these picks.
Seth Rogen's new action movie "The Green Hornet" has earned a 44% on Rotton Tomatoes, a not so steller review from the Spill Crew, and a lot of hate from critics, and audiences alike. Now how can this be, that is the question. It's an superhero action film, and it has some popular stars such as Cameron Diaz, but it's acquired so much panning from people it baffles me that it even made $550,000 at the midnight shows.
I'm sure many of my fellow geeks managed to see Kick-Ass in a theater this April or rented/bought it as soon as it was released on DVD/Blu-Ray this past Tuesday. I'm also sure that, much like myself, they have all fallen in love with it. Many of them will likely remember the classic opening involving a superhero attempting to fly off a skyscraper who ended up being "an Armenian with a history of serious mental problems". Now imagine if… Continue
So a while ago (yeah, I know this is a bit dated now), I finally had some spare time on my hands to get out and see a film in a theater instead of just a rented one from the library on my portable DVD player. My friends and I chose to see "Kick-Ass", which was...well...to attempt to describe it would be redundant.
We left the theater in awe, yet divided. We were all shocked, of course, at the ferocity of the action sequences and the nature of the film overall, but… Continue
For the past couple of years, superhero movies have reached
the peak of their popularity, Also in those years, writers and directors have
been exceptional in making their films smart, well-written, faithful to their respective properties and, more importantly, exceedingly entertaining. These factors have boosted a plethora of superhero films to both critical and
financial success. In honor of the recent action-comedy film adaptation of the
As I said about the comic-book character, Iron Man, I was never entirely a huge fan of the character as I was more into Batman, Spider-man, Superman, etc. Iron Man seems like Marvel's version of Batman (which he kinda is) and the fact that alter ego, Tony Stark fully relies on the "robo" suit to fight, was some way… Continue
Several hours ago, I got back from a screening of Kick-Ass at my local theatre (I live in the UK, and they're having advance screenings this weekend). I don't want to spoil too much, but if you want the bottom line, Kick-Ass is the craziest, most over-the-top and absolutely bad-ass superhero movie ever made.
Right from when Dave Lezewski (Aaron Johnson) puts on that mask and becomes Kick-Ass, the movie starts on an upward spiral that never comes down. The action is…
First of all, Thank you for clicking. For the many of you out there who don't know me, I'm just an average schmoe who would like to take this oppertunity to express my opinions on a few topics and rumors floating around the internet and hopefully start some chatter among you. Please remember that while you may agree or disagree with the things I say, please keep in mind that these are opinions..so..don't be a dick. So with out further delay.. here are my two cents!
