I finally got around to watching all the movies I feel were necessary to watch in order to come up with a good "worst of" list for 2010. I wasn't quite as determined to see every bad film this year as I was last year, but I still was probably seeking out more atrocities than I should have been. I'm not sure why I put myself through them, but I feel you… Continue

Oh Dead Lord...
(If you ask me how I saw the movie, I downloaded it off the net. I didn't spend any money on this travesty of the film.)
I really don't know what possess me to do this. What makes me go in and watch really… Continue

Here's my reasons why the prequels dont suck (theyre not as good as the originals by any stretch of the imagination)
5) the action
yes, it doesn't matter that much if it shouldn't be the main draw of the film in the first place, but still, the action sequences were pretty great. technically, the movies are all wonderful
4) The villains
Now, I know these can't compete with Darth Vader, but in my mind, theyre fucking close. Darth Maul is so awesome and General… Continue

Can I just say that I hate Superman Returns? OH MY GOD!!!! I feel so much better. No one seems to be in my corner on this point. Too often I’m defending an opinion that I feel is more than amply justified. Sometimes I’m afraid of being blacklisted as a communist or terrorist if I say bad things about the movie. If you don’t want to hear me criticize it, or know the ending, don’t read this blog. Presenting my top 10 reasons why I hate Superman Returns.
10. Superman Returns from… Continue

Experience the gruesome beginnings of Mr. Smith and his hotel of horrors in this terrifying prequel to Vacancy, starring Agnes Bruckner (Murder by Numbers). Suspecting only a night of hard beds and tacky décor, Caleb, his sexy new fiancée Jessica and his sarcastic best friend Tanner, check into the Meadow View Inn. They have no idea that it is not just another lonely motel, but a horrific trap where guests are brutally tortured and murdered while the sadistic maniac Mr. Smith and his greedy… Continue

As a proud member of the Spill community for almost two years, I can honestly say that no other site gives you the freedom of opinion on films like Spill does. That being said, I have a message to my fellow Spill members: chill the hell out.
As the number of people on this site increase, so does the variety of opinion. More blogs and discussions are posted from people across the world, coming from people who all have their own say on the films they watch. When I read these posts, I… Continue

Even before Let the Right One In was released in cinemas, Cloverfield director Matt Reeves had signed to write and direct an English language remake for Overture Films and Hammer Films. Hammer Films acquired the remake rights at the 2008 Tribeca Film Festival and Overture films plans to release the film in 2009. Alfredson has been reported as saying that he is not happy that the film is being remade, saying that "Remakes should be made of movies that aren’t very… Continue

With "The Haunting of Molly Hartley" coming up and with the annoying PG-13 rating slapped on it, it's yet another one of these 'horror' films made only for the people who can't handle their R or NC-17 horror. Examples of PG-13 horror films that suck include:
One Missed Call (2008)
Prom Night (2008).
Cry Wolf (2005).
The Grudge (2004).
The Grudge 2 (2006).
The Eye (2008).
When a Stranger Calls (2006)
The Ring Two (2005).

When I heard news that people are green-liting the new Dragonball movie based of the mangas by Akira Toriyama, I already knew that its gonna suck, hard and dry. While never a fan of Dragonball, I do enjoy watching from time to time and its fun seeing huge testosterone jocks duking each other out with energy blasts and earth-shattering moves. This series has elements of chinese mythology, weird characters, interplanetary scenarios and hardcore battles where anything is possible. A series like… Continue

It seems to me that one of the big topics on the internet regarding movies happens to be video game movies with some people supporting them and some people hating them with a passion. Whatever the case may be, most people can agree however that most video game movies just aren't that good. Even the people who support video game movies seem to say this while trying to say that this game would make a great movie, only to have their heart broken when it gets made into a movie by Uwe… Continue

Oh yeah! My crippling disability of being a movie lover in Australia has finally paid off! I won premiere tickets for the 14th of July! Sure, I won it last week, I dunno why I'm not bragging about it 'til now, but YAY! JOYGASMIC! Sure, I dunno why I'm complaining, I saw Spider-Man 2 and 3, Hancock and Mamma Mia! before most of you, but I don't get Hellboy 2 'til the end of August! We have much pain down here! MUCH PAIN INDEED!

The X Files: I Want To Believe
The X Files may be good, but the movie is probobaly no longer my type.
Sex And The City: The Movie
I'm not the type of guy who watches a TV show about women talking about their virginities. So, this movie's not for me.
Why make a remake of Scanners? Scanners was a great film! It was memorable! Especially for the exploding head! I don't how the people… Continue

(Besides the Spill crew) who do what they love and get paid for it? I want to be that happy at work. I'm mainly just indifferent and bored. I hate to say that but it's true. Today I had an Orientation and my heart wasn't in it. Lately I'm getting sick of advising people who don't want to listen and do what they want anyway and then come back to me whining or crying about the decision I advised them against.
I've been here too long. I'm a clock watcher. My love for this job has left… Continue
