Why the world needs "Jersey Shore"

December 2009, a much simpler time. Exictment was building for future films such as "Avatar", "Sherlock Holmes" and of course "Alvin and The Chimpmunks, the squeakeul". Little did the world know that they were about to be introduced to the most rambuctious family to ever hit television since the Cosbys. Season one of the shore introduced us to a great cast of characters. Body freak the situation, spikey haired Pauly, Tig Bitties Jwoww, Sammi Sweatheart, family man Vinny Big Ron and lil Snookie.… Continue

(Rebecca Black Friday Review) Mediocrity is Fun: or Which Seat Will You Take?

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0NLjz-ZJmEc

This is my review of Rebecca Black's Friday. I am new to this sort of thing, so if anyone who is good at this has any advice, I would love that. I desperately want to get better. I would like to point out that I do not like the song specifically. I like it in the same way that some people like Troll2. There seems to be a lost in translation type thing with this video.…

The 10 Highest Grossing Movies of 2010, so far (Part 2)

Alrighty!! Time for round 2! Instead of me doing an introductory paragraph, let's just jump right in.

6. How to Train Your Dragon

Total domestic gross: $217,581,231

Total foreign gross: $264,627,399

I was really excited when I saw this. I love Monster Vs. Aliens and I love Kung Fu Panda even better. This movie is on a whole different level from those movies, and to me, that's… Continue

The 10 Highest Grossing Movies of 2010, so far (Part 1).

I meant to do this last month seeing as that was the half way point, but seeing as I'm a lazy 17 year old on his summer vacation, I'm surprised I'm doing this at all. Just like I did the 50 highest grossing movies of the past decade (5 for each year), below are the top 10 highest grossing movies of 2010, as of August 7, 2010. Only difference between my previous blog post is that I'll be adding pics and my own two cents on the movies, if I've seen them. Hell, I'll probably say something even if… Continue

Summer 2010 So Far and Beyond

Well, another year, another summer of awesome movies...er, right?

So you don't need me to tell you that 2010 has been a less than stellar year for the film industry, especially following the superduperness of last year. So how's the summer been holding up in a lackluster year? well...we can only hope it only gets better from here...

The Summer of 2010....so far (the ones I've…

Oh, New Moon... Why do You Have So Many Fans?

Everyone knows about all the hype and the story.

New Moon is a sequel to the movie Twilight from last year at the same time, based on a popular book series by Stephenie Meyer.

When the first book came out, i read it in middle school. And I used to like it a lot. Then i grew up and realized what 'selfish bitch' meant and i stopped liking it.

I feel bad for a lot of guys.

And I say this over and over... But it is oh so very very true.

You all have to… Continue

So I Finally Saw "Dirty Harry"

After trying to think of some way to contribute to the site I finally found something to write about! I'm only 17 and haven't seen some of the classic, influencial films that some would consider to be essential to any film lover's experience. So, come with me and explore my take on films that have shaped genres, made a shit load of money and been loved by millions of people... and I haven't seen them.

So kicking it off is "Dirty Harry", the action classic that gave the movie world… Continue

What I Watch on A Rainy Day- Pt. 1

I saw the beginning of this film before I fell asleep at 3:30 am one Thursaday morning. For the next couple of days i couldn't stop thinking of this film (I passed out when Brandon discovered Emily's body at the tunnel...........oh SPOILER!). I couldn't stop thinking about her death and the mystery surrounding it. But my only problem then was I never caught the title of the film!

My Hulk vs Wolverine Review - spoilers -

Hulk vs Wolverine is a pretty good movie, I'm not too familar with the comics as i'm pretty much a Animated Series guy.

I thought the animation was really good and the best thing is Wolverine gets to freaking stab people!

But that brings me to my first problem, so many times Hulk would get stabbed and sliced and then in the next scene all those cuts and blood will disappear as if they never… Continue

Which version of the Dark Knight should you buy?

Sorry, accidentally hit delete when I was trying to edit the tags. The touch pad on my new laptop is seriously too sensitive.

Let's get one thing out of the way, first of all. We do not need to review this movie here AGAIN. It's not a question of should you buy it. It's more of which one should you buy? There are no less than seven different possibilities for your purchase. I am not going to list the obvious choice that, where there is both a DVD and a Blu-Ray version, and you can… Continue

Great Scenes From Bad Films, Part 2: The Wizard

In 1989 a strange creature was unleashed upon the world, a strange hybrid beast, not quite an advert, not quite a movie. It starred a young Christian Slater, a younger Fred Savage and that dude who’s in lots of things. You know the one I mean, whatshisname. Yeah, him. The “film” was called the Wizard and it’s best known for being the western world’s introduction to Super Mario Bros. 3, one of the best selling video games of all time.

I don’t think I need to tell you that it’s… Continue

The Happening DVD review! (if you don't check out this post you will die in seven days!)

How many ways can I say brilliant? M. Knight does it again! After his smash hit with lady in the water I didn't think he could pull off another PERFECT film such as this one! This movie is about some sort of occurrence in which people stop dead in their tracks and start spouting beautifully artistic soliloquies before taking their own life, all against their own will. The film begins with one of these elegantly crafted sequences followed by a short educational scene, and then descends into… Continue
