When Lord Shen (Gary Oldman), the peacock supervillain takes over the kingdom from which he'd been exiled with a deadly new weapon, Po (Jack Black) and the Furious Five go on a mission to stop him, save kung-fu, and discover the mystery of Po's past.
Story Revu:
The first Kung Fu Panda was a bit of a surprise, but it essentially retooled every old…
I was left with a lot of mixed emotions after watching this movie. Not because of it’s actual quality, but because none of the characters really do the right thing. Even as the credits roll, you’re still not sure who, if anyone, to side with. I think that was probably the film’s intent. A refreshing, intelligent commentary on race relations in America.
After a few weeks of writing reviews, I have teamed up with a buddy of mine and joined the legions of podcasts. We'll deliver our honest and brutal opinion on films with no need for pretentious bullshit. Our…
It was another boring Wednesday when I get a call from my friend who said that he had tickets to go see Monsters Vs. Aliens. My Reaction was this movie might be mediocre because with the exception of Shrek and Kung Fu Panda, I am not a big fan of Dreamworks Animated movies. So when I found out that this movie wasn't coming out until the end of the month I realized I might as well see it like everyone else who may have gotten a pass. The movie starts up and when it is over all I can say is this… Continue
Phew! It's been one crazy year in the world of film. This year was undoubtedly the year of the 'Blockbuster' since so many big budget films exceeded our expectations. While the heavy hitters ranked up at the box office, they also were able to receive positive reviews from critics and fans alike. This year gave me so many surprises. A lot of my favorite films of '08 were movies I'd never in a million years think of adding to a Top 10 List. A lot of you may rise up in arms, light… Continue
2008 has been a very momentous year and this year's line of films fared a lot better than last year. Some films met expectations, some films came with disastrous results and a few brought high quality to the film industry. Overall it has been a great year for films. Now even though I have seen a lot of films this year, there are still a lot more to see. And its really hard to build this month's top ten list because there were a lot of…Continue
We all knew this would happen, especially since the awesomeness we experienced in the first movie. DreamWorks Animation SKG announced that Panda 2 is in the works for a June 3, 2011 release. Also the movie will be produced in stereoscopic 3D technology, whatever that is. All of the film's cast returns. The movie will be directed by Jennifer Yuh Nelson who was the head of the first movie's story. I hope they add some more of those Samurai Jack style cartoons in it as well.…
Today is about characters in animations. And yeah, you can't have a good story without a good character. I would say as a giddy fanboy is that one thing I really admire Pixar more than Dreamworks is they know how to create good characters. Its not they have to make a character's personality realistic, but the idea of making a good character is to make their personality believable.…

The critically praised Pixar feature "WALL-E" can now officially claim to be a financial success. "WALL-E" debuted at No. 1 with an estimated $62.5 million worth of ticket sales this weekend. Not bad for a horny, stalking robot that can barely say two words. This makes "WALL-E" the third biggest opening for the CG animation studio. "Finding Nemo" is second and "The Incrdibles" is first. So why haven't I bought stock in PIXAR yet?

Dreamworks has always been iffy with me. Sometimes they can produce a hilarious and entertaining film, while other times their movies just flat out stink. I'm happy to report that Kung Fu Panda is one of their better films. The premise is simple. Jack Black plays a fat, clumsy panda who must learn the ways of kung fu in time to obtain the dragon scroll which will turn him in to the dragon master so he may then defeat the evil Tai Long whom has… Continue
