Rating-(Low)Rental Damn 20th Century Fox, can you possibly rip off Harry Potter any more? Speaking as someone who read the book, I will say the book is much, much better. Here they changed way too much, and not for the better. The basic plot is that one day Percy Jackson finds out that he is a demigod, he is being accused of stealing Zeus' fake ass lightning bolt and his mother his kidnapped by Hades. Now he must rescue his mom and find a way to clear his name.… Continue

Rating-Some Ole' Bulls**t!! It's official, I am fucking sick of these Paranormal Activity movies. In my opinion, it is one of the most overrated film series ever, in my opinion only the third one is good. So I naturally thought "Okay, I liked the third one. Perhaps this one will improve upon that one." Boy, was I sorely mistaken.… Continue

You know for a movie based on a board game Battleship is actually a hell of a lot of fun. It's plot is basically a bunch of alien ships touchdown in the pacific, activate a dome that traps several ships of the United States… Continue

Well, this was it. The season finale, the moment we've all been closely awaiting. And HOLY SHIT did Vince Gilligan and crew pull a full measure.
Breaking Bad finales have not neccesarily been the best episodes in the series. More… Continue

This is my review of Rebecca Black's Friday. I am new to this sort of thing, so if anyone who is good at this has any advice, I would love that. I desperately want to get better. I would like to point out that I do not like the song specifically. I like it in the same way that some people like Troll2. There seems to be a lost in translation type thing with this video.… Continue

Let's take a step back a year to that little film released called The Dark Knight (don't worry if you havent seen it...it's pretty crappy :P.) At the start of the film there was quite an intense bank robbery, masks, gun shots, some safe cracking, more gun shots..the works. And when we finally saw the scene, many compared it to Michael Mann's Heat, saying that Christopher Nolan payed "homage" to this classic film. But then let's take a look in a more....shitty direction. I'm sure everyones… Continue

There are tales as old as time. Tales of bravery, of good versus evil, of kings and wizards. Then there are tales of people with plastic personalities, wearing plastic armour and fighting with plastic weapons against men in rubber suits who move as if there balls are always uncomfortably caught in their underwear. Uwe Boll’s In The Name Of The King: A Dungeon Siege Tale is the latter.
I suppose I should begin by saying I’ve never played Dungeon Siege so I have no idea how faithful… Continue

First off, you should be warned; this movie is a blatant rip-off of one of my favorite films of all time, “Battle Royale.” See that, not this. I have a feeling that this was shot by the same guys that do the in-ring footage for the WWE. Every single “action” scene was performed with the camera being shaken as if it was having a seizure, whilst trying to evade an earthquake. I admit, I was almost fooled into believing there was actual impact during all the combat scenes, due to not being able to… Continue

“12 Rounds” is wrestler John Cena’s second role, and is arguably worse than his first effort, “The Marine.” Being a die-hard fan of cinema, I cringe when this fiasco is referred to as a film. It isn’t. Films consist of writing, direction, and acting; none of those are present here. Quite frankly, there is no reason for this movie to exist whatsoever.
Like “The Marine,” “12 Rounds” sets up Cena’s character as one who’s obviously big, and physically intimidating. So naturally, most of… Continue

I think I might be a titch on the feminist side. Okay yeah I am. Either that, or the guys in Southern Utah are just retarded. If this is you, and you know that you're not so bad, come prove it to me because I just must have the worst luck in meeting people down here.
Two friends of mine came down from Cedar City to go to that anime convention in St. George and I had already told them that I was going to be really busy the entire day. I even woke up extra early to sew one of their… Continue

This video includes a montage of scenes from different movies. What movie is playing from 3:42-4:05? It is a black and white scene where a little boy jumps out of a window.

Last night, my mum and I finished up watching the remake of The Texas Chainsaw Massacre
and I had noticed something about it: It does the tactic of "the less you see, the scarier/creepier it is". I admire that kind of tactic still being used these days, espicaly in a world with Hostel and Saw. So, allow me to go over films that to the tactic. Waring though: The following post contains spoilers from films, so you've been warned.

How many ways can I say brilliant? M. Knight does it again! After his smash hit with lady in the water I didn't think he could pull off another PERFECT film such as this one! This movie is about some sort of occurrence in which people stop dead in their tracks and start spouting beautifully artistic soliloquies before taking their own life, all against their own will. The film begins with one of these elegantly crafted sequences followed by a short educational scene, and then descends into… Continue
