Believe it or not, Cohost does have a life outside of Spill. A lot of things need his attention right now, but we have yet to hear from him since the big news. No promises, but we're hoping to get him here later today. We'll keep you posted. In the…See More
While you wait to call in to today's show, check the recording from the last show. Lots of good updates in there, especially about the future of the Spill archives. Speaking of today's show, I'd like for you all to think of what you'd like to see…See More
It seems like puppets are the next hot thing in Hollywood - between watching Mel Gibson emote through a ratty sock in 'The Beaver' and Disney's revamp of 'The Muppets', there are a slew of new films on the horizon featuring actors made out of foam and felt (and no, we don't mean Hayden Christiansen). One of these…
One of the best of the film noir genre. Double Indemnity is a brilliant thrill ride of murder, lust, lies, suspicion, and betrayal. It's a great movie, a great piece by Billy Wilder. The best thing about it is that it keeps you guessing, guessing about how it end and who will it end with? Fred MacMurray is great as the smooth talking but wide eyed insurance man and Barbara Stanwyck is one of the best femme fatale's to ever grace the silver screen. Spider-man/Peter Parker is my favorite superhero of all time. So anything that's usually associated with the web-head being announced (barring the terrible decision regarding "Brand New Day"), I look for more information like a blood hound. I couldn't stop thinking about her death and the mystery surrounding it. But my only problem then was I never caught the title of the film!
I just discovered this trailer for a Hong-Kong/French revenge movie called “Vengeance”. It looks dark and gritty and I love it. It's supposed to come out 20th May in France. Don’t know about the rest of the world, but I think (and hope) it's not going to be much later than the end of fall.
Plot is simple:
A father comes to Hong Kong to avenge his daughter, whose family was murdered. Officially, he's a chef. Twenty years ago, he was a…Continue
Oh man. So many cool movie people died these past few months and now this.
"Jules Dassin, the director of some of the finest heist movies and films noir of all time, has died. He was 96.
The American-born director, who had virtually lived and worked outside his home country full-time since the 1950s, died following a short illness on Monday in Athens, Greece, the place that he had made his home.
