This weekend I ran into a friend who remarked that THE SPIRIT was the worst comic book movie ever made. I instantly asked him (not having seen it yet) "Have you seen Elektra?"
"No." "The 1990 Captain America?"
"Is that the one with Shaq?" "Yes."
"Then No." Okay, so maybe it ISN'T the worst comic book movie ever made (I mean, how in the #*$% on a flying saucer could it be worse than BATMAN and ROBIN?) But it got me talking to some friends. What ARE the… Continue

The AFCA (of which four out of five of the Spill Crew are members - they have a strict no robot policy) has voted and released our awards. And while there are a number of things I disagree with, there are many awards for which I am SO PROUD to be a member of a group that would vote this way. Here's our awards and our top 10. Make sure to make your feelings known below.

Award season is just around the corner, and I'm asking myself the same question I asked myself last year: What makes a good film?
Is it the acting, the direction, the design, or the replay value? There are so many factors that can make a good movie that I wouldn't know where to start. What do these big time critics at these award shows consider when they cast in their ballots for nominations? What are they looking for when they want to give out those shiny golden… Continue

Every year Hollywood tries to release happy, loving, feel-good Christmas films. These are not those films. So, if you’re not looking for your run of the mill Christmas movie, here are my picks for my favorite not-so-Christmasy Christmas movies.
*Please note that they are not in any order*
I don’t know many people who dislike this film. If you’re looking for a great action film on Christmas day, this is the… Continue

Let's go back a ways first
To 2005 to be exact and when the announcement for The Movies, a game by Lionhead would be part Movie Sim game and actual movie maker built right in!
Well, the gears of war start turning, and an idea was formed, make a movie! Machinima, which is what the kids call it and so, I shall throw my proverbial hat in the ring.
The game came out and the limits far outweighed the ability to put together several scenes, to tell a story.

Yeah I saw A blog like this (Top 10 cartoons that should have a movie or something like that) so I decided to make my own, just with a little twist...KICK-ASS THEME TUNES!!!
I will also give a cast list, what Hollywood would probably cast, just for my own enjoyment (and hopefully yours)
In no particular order, apart from number one, let it begin!!
Need I say more?

Okay regardless of what many may think of Keanu Reeves' acting skills, I think most of us can still say that "The Day the Earth Stood Still" is looking pretty awesome.
Also I've heard that they're remaking "The Beginning of the End" (giant grasshoppers).
So this morning I finished watching "Them!" and I thought despite it being… Continue

I can already hear the sound of the Spill.com community resonating in my ears!
"You're reviewing that OLD movie?"
"That Shia kid is in it!"
"Doesn't he have the most adorable mustache?"
"Isn't he from Even Stevens?"
"Aren't we going off topic?"
"I think we are, sorry"
"That's alright, we can still be friends"
"Hey, look at this review! It's such an old movie!
"LETS KILL HIM!!"
Before you guys crucify me virtually via the… Continue

Okay, this blog is kinda late, but as soon as I heard Co-Host say something about an Austin Powers 4 in the Love Guru review, I was ready to shoot someone. When it comes to disturbing news like this, I don't think he'd be joking. I know this is a short blog, but if anyone knows any information about this, please comment. Anyway, I really think Mike Myers should quit making money this way, the Spill Crew will burn their eyes out!!

In Issue 2 of Rumored remakes, we take a quick look at the cast for the Live-Action Johnny Quest due out in 2010. This will be ignoring the continuation series, which added elements such as the addition of certain characters and reportrayal of others. This should go quick, but why beat around the bush?
With just a smidge further adieu, here is the cast roster for the rumored Live-Action remake of Jonny Quest.
Dylan and/or Cole Sprouse as Jonny Quest… Continue

*sigh* It's that time of year again. When kids get those sugar hangovers from all that candy, and start reminiscing about their past Halloween. I am especially sad this time, as I haven't even finished all of my horror movies! I still have The Thing
(which I have at least watched before), The Amityville Horror
, Friday the 13th
, and the utterly depressive Halloween III
. Who wants to watch a movie about Halloween when it's not… Continue

With the release of My Name is Bruce
today, I found it fitting that I'm reviewing this movie.
Army of Darkness
begins where Evil Dead II left off, except once again retconning the fact that Ash killed the flying bird thing at the beginning. Instead, he is taken prisoner by English knights at war with a group of Scots. The leader of the Scots, Duke Henry the Red (Richard Grove), is also taken prisoner.
After Ash… Continue

Why do some people (a lot of people) think anyone cares what you think of Saw 1? Or any other movie that has been out for years? If the movie hasn't made it to DVD or just recently was released on DVD then review the crap out of it. But if the movie has been out for years then who gives a crap about one more review? Who honestly hasn't seen Saw 1 but due to a review they just saw today would go rent it? No one.
Also if you do find it important that you give you 5 yr late word on an… Continue
