I think faithfulness is very important because im tired of hollywood screwing up comic book characters like venom, galactus, and deadpool just so they can say "oh hey we know we screwed up so lets make a spin off movie where we can get the characters right and milk more money from the fans". However if the director can make it work like with Iron Man or Watchmen or even The Dark Knight then i'll have no problem with it. Very rarely i will accept huge changes like transformers for example (which… Continue
Well, what do you know? Hell has frozen over. It appears that Iron Man and Wolverine will be making the jump from Western comics to Eastern anime. Announced at comic-con, these initial designs in these teasers are the prototypes for how the show will look like. It appears that they are taking new directions in terms of style.
*Whew!* Oh man, what an exhausting week, running around Comic-Con and now that we're finally back home...we're gonna be just as busy this week. Besides playing catchup on our regular schedule of movie reviews you can expect this week we'll be filling the blogs and podcasts with the details of what we did on the trip, what cool stuff we saw, what happened at the Spill party and what famous people we hung out with.
Take note: Even though we saw plenty of VERY… Continue
The Marvel animation panel was pretty lively as the were excited to reveal trailers and teasers for all their new projects in the works (of which there are aplenty!) and updates on those currently airing:
San Diego- July 25,2009 3:45pm Pacific time and here I sit in our hotel room looking down at a wedding being assembled on a lower rooftop, trying to not focus on how supremely frustrated I am. For the latest of many times I was denied entrance into the 'Great Hall H' through the inconsistent side door for Press, whereas Cyrus has waltzed in and out all weekend like he's the owner's trust fund baby. Thus, you won't be hearing any news from ME about Iron Man 2. In fact, there's… Continue
Before I begin, I have to tell you that I'm going to spoil the plot. This isn't a review, it's a criticism.
The Man who Shot Liberty Valance (1962)
One parallel I can draw from this movie is to a recent film, the Dark Knight. In the end, it turns out that the man who shot Liberty Valance is not the one who led the city to greatness as the legend had told, after all, so they decide to “print the legend” instead, because what’s… Continue

Alright, Pixar, you win. From now on, I won't even ask the name of your next project. Seriously, I'm just going to hand over my money and enjoy every second of the show. The Toy Story movies, The Incredibles, Monsters Inc., Finding Nemo, Wall-E, and Ratatouille are perhaps at the top of my favorite family movies, I say family instead of children because these movies are made for everyone; there isn't a single person who couldn't derive some form of… Continue
John Wayne is an actor so iconic that as a symbol for machismo even today he is matched by no other. He also represented a conservative view point, not only in his staunch anti-communist real-life position, but as the cowboy resistant to change but still determined to do the right thing. Nowhere did he more make himself more inextricable from these ideals than in… Continue
What do you get when you mix The Running Man with Death Race and (dare I say it) The Lawnmower Man, and stir in a really good actor? A potentially kick back, leave-your-brain-at-home-and-go-enjoy-with-your-friends flick. If done properly, mind you... It's a very fine line between pure action fun and a load of crap. Lets hope this is the… Continue

"The newly confirmed Deadpool film, which would be produced by Lauren Shuler Donner and Marvel, has Ryan Reynolds slated to star and would be a complete exploration of the character - his origins, his emergence as the Merc with the Mouth, and more!"
...I must say that this makes me feel much, MUCH happier after the fiasco that was… Continue
Well, it’s been a while since I wrote anything and also a while since I just sat back and watched some trailers so while getting caught up on them, I thought I might as well write about a few of them as well. Let’s join me, won’t you?
Anything about Woodstock is automatically interesting to me and the fact that Demetri Martin stars just sweetens the pot. I… Continue

This is just a list of my best ideas marketing wise for the next Spider man 4 movie. A little while ago it was rumored that the Vampire Morbius would be in the movie. In my opinion there is another better pick Carnage / Cletus Cassidy. To increase sales Marvel will probably pick villains that are current ly popular or are similar to pop culture fads. The two largest fads in my opinion are Vampires and the deranged insane villain shown most popularly in the Twilight and Dark Knight franchise.… Continue

After seeing what movies came out this weekend i said to myself, "Do i want to think hard this morning(Duplicity) or get some mindless entertainment(I Love You, Man)?" I chose the second option and to make this even better i saw this movie with my best man friend.
Im going to pretend the people that read this review are somewhat informed about… Continue

Ah, yes, the time has come for another comic adaptation to hit the silver screen. But this is not just any comic. This is Watchmen.
Now before I start, I just want to warn you readers of SPOILERS! I will discuss some of the plot including the ending and if you do not wish to have any details revealed to you then please don't read this. However, if you do not mind knowing the ending then, by all means, continue reading.
I've been following the cinematic Eden that is Spill.com for a while now, but now I can finally become a member of this great community. I hope to all who read this that we'll become friends in our quest for movie greatness. Thanks to all the Spillers out there. Catch you around!
As well as some of you may know there has been a blog and review for almost everything on Spill whether it be comics, anime, cartoons, especially horror to sci fi films. But I haven't come across many action film reviews which may be my favorite genre. So I thought that every now and again I'd write my thoughts of a Bad Arse film I'd recommend people to see along with an action scene to give you a taste of what the rest of the film is like.
