I've been lurking this site for years but I'm breaking my silence! given the current situation at spill I feel like I have taken the site for granted. So I just want to try and put my 2 cents in. I encourage anyone else who hasn't been an active…See More
Maybe this is a HUGE reach and would probably mean Spill take as huge hit on bandwidth. But would there be any possibility to download every single audio podcast for something to go back and listen to?I used to have my iTunes set to download them…See More
Every year I make a list comprised of my least favorite films of the year. I usually do this the last week on Decemeber. But since the site is ending at the end of this month, I wanted to do this now so I have the chance to talk to you guys about…See More

Since its release in 2008, Kingdom of the Crystal Skull has been put forward as an example of a franchise going off the rails. And there’s one element in particular from the film that’s usually brought up to illustrate this. Not man eating CG ants and monkey madness, magnetic hypnotic alien skulls, the lack of ‘bad’ in the bad guys, or even Marion and Mutt. All of these left a bad taste in my mouth but that's not it. No, we all know it’s Nuking The Fridge.
OK, first of all, I'll give you a quick introduction. I'm Phast Phil and I have been a long-time fan of Spill.com and joined a long time ago (I think it was at the start of 2008). When I joined, there was no Let's Do This and the only podcasts where ACOCO and LEOG. There wasn't even 10,000 members. I stopped using my profile for a long while and when I tried to sign in again my email had changed. It took me until just recently to remember what it was so I'm back! Sorry about that, just…
Alright, this came up after I saw the Jonah Hex trailer on TV and thought, hey, I guess this means Megan Fox is his... sidekick? Well that's weird. Is she? I mean, she is like Marion is to Indiana Jones. But maybe that does mean that she is. So then I thought, what makes a sidekick? And then I re-watched a certain film that made the list here and decided to make this list, by the by, top sidekicks:
There's not much of a backstory to how I came to thinking about this. I just started thinking about what really can make a movie. And one thing that came up was an awesome death. Some films try to have an epic passing away, but only so many films have a death that is so memorable that it's an icon for years. But I'm not writing about the best deaths in cinema. These are just my own personal favorites. So don't say I forgot one, but feel free to share your own. And obviously there are huge… Continue
I, like many of you I suspect, had a middling childhood; not great but not ungodly awful- to the untrained eye I wasted my free time in front of the goggle-box becoming a supposed anti social misfit, however TV provided a moral compass when mom and dad were working which still influences me today.
'Batman the Animated Series' was one of the most prominent programmes still in my memory but the one which I have the greatest fondness for… Continue
Phew! It's been one crazy year in the world of film. This year was undoubtedly the year of the 'Blockbuster' since so many big budget films exceeded our expectations. While the heavy hitters ranked up at the box office, they also were able to receive positive reviews from critics and fans alike. This year gave me so many surprises. A lot of my favorite films of '08 were movies I'd never in a million years think of adding to a Top 10 List. A lot of you may rise up in arms, light… Continue
This is a list of heroes that have a take no shit style about them, rather then the goody good style of such heroes like Superman / Spider-Man / Mr Miyagi / Yoda / Luke Skywalker / Gandalf ect. As great as these Heroes are this is more of a list of people you DO NOT want to piss off.
KEEPING IN MIND i try and keep it one style of film for each person to make it otherwise they would all be Cop film heroes

More on Potential Future for Indiana Jones
Source: AP Television, Variety August 8, 2008
Last week, The Sunday in UK had a brief interview with George Lucas talking about the potential of doing a fifth Indiana Jones movie. The fourth movie is looking to be this year's third biggest movie, having grossed over $300 million, but you'd be hard-pressed to find anyone who will actually admit to liking the movie. Still, Lucas seems hellbent on carrying on if they can… Continue

Many of the more than 600 New Line Cinema employees are expecting to get fired after totally bungling the premiere of "Sex and the City" so badly that about 2,000 people were turned away from the door.
Since this is a film review website, I'll start with that. I gave Indiana Jones a 7/10. It was adventurous and quite frankly, typical Indiana Jones-ish. I was impressed that Harrison Ford pretty much looked the same, barring the gray hair. The action was satisfying, but no more dramatic the the Indiana Jones flims that came before it. It really did remind me, excuse me, I mean, National Treasure truly did rip off Indiana Jones. Anyway...I am still yet to see The Forbidden Kingdom (I'm REALLY… Continue

Chase asks:Hey Carlyle whats up? I don't know if it is true but when I walked out of the new Indiana Jones flick I overheard someone saying there is already a 5th one in the works is this true??
Undetermined. For now I'm going to say no, because there is nothing official. What happened was this: during an interview at Cannes, George Lucas responded to a question with this carefully planned… Continue
