All the way from the distant shores of rainy England comes a new video games podcast from 3 lazy university students; "Crittack!" which is both a play on the words "critic" and "attack" and the three of our names (Chris, Tim and Jack). You can listen or download the 2nd podcast here:
Hey guys me and a few friends put together this pilot for a gaming podcast and I would love it if some of you guys listened! It's early days yet so apologies for it being a little rough around the edges, but we basically did this for fun. We cover topics of gaming news, what we've been playing, Metal Gear Solid, cheap games, snow and more!
I don't know anything about cars. I mean, don't get me wrong, I'm a darn good driver (zero accidents my fault and only two otherwise...not bad for 25 years of driving) but I mean gearhead-wise. When my car…
Alright, I concede a point. Cutscenes are sometimes used too frequently. A staggering amount of the Metal Gear Solid
quadrilogy consists of overly dramatic short films making one wonder if Hideo Kojima actually wanted to be a Spielberg instead of a Miyamoto. Recently, however, there has been a trend of bashing games with cutscenes in the video game industry, even to the point of calling cutscenes as a total crutch for a video game. Simply put, many practitioners in playing games…
The agents of P.C.P. debrief on Solid Snake's mission to end Foxhound going from day one (the original Metal Gear...er Snake Eater) up to current (Guns of the Patriots) status. In attendance: "Pissing Willow" aka Shegaw, "Laughing Octopus" aka Marcus, "Crying Bear" aka Audie and "Howling Shepherd" aka Avery.
Unfortunately, it seems we'd been compromised about halfway through by the likes of Psycho Mantis (trying plugging…
Welcome to Video Game Equivalent, where I try to find you an equal to a movie, book, show, or comic in video game form.
This is probably one of the most interesting development for video game-movie relations with the release of Gamer. It's a movie about a video game, but not based on one, therefore it's automatically better than any… Continue

Before we start this is not a review and I suck at English.
I wondered if any of you saw "The Castle Of Cagliostro" the second Lupin III movie and one of Miyazaki's first movies. This movie predates almost all of his others being released in 1979 before he started his own company, Ghibli. It stars master thief Lupin III trying to release a girl from an unwanted marriage from a man looking to unlock the fortune of The Castle of Cagliostro. This is one of Miyazaki's more comedic tails… Continue
With the recent announcement of an Asteroids movie I got to thinking, what other classic gaming franchises could make a kick ass movie? I know that most video game movies so far have been piles of dog shit but I still have hope that if the right franchises are done well (and not made by fox) video game adaptions could be really awesome. So I compiled this quick list to display my top 5 choices:
Unlike last year's lackluster lacking of E3 goodness, this year's electronic entertainment expo has helped supply the video game world with much to talk about. Let's go over some of the big announcements (this will not cover all of them) that have been recently revealed.
* Metal Gear Solid is coming to the Xbox 360: Yes, hell has officially frozen over. Hideo Kojima is bringing the legendary sneaking series over to the Xbox 360. The… Continue

It's that time again. Where snobbish video game websites decide what is the creme of the crop/crap so we can all blindly argue about who has the better system. With my seething hatred for the slavish dedication to "game of the year awards" this year, I decided to post a sort of 'anti-game of the year for 2008' awards. For those of you who are wondering, no, I don't have a preference for system, they're all horribly disfigured in their own special way.
Hideo Kojima is revered in his home country of Japan; he’s actually considered a celebrity! In case you don’t know who he is, he’s the creator of the uber-difficult video game Metal Gear Solid. The game is being translated into a film as we speak and Kojima has been talking about his plans to be very involved in that… Continue
Okay, so this year has turned out to be one of the better years I can remember for video games. We have had so many hits it's hard for me to decide my favorites from what i have played. But enough of that on to the games! Here are my personal favorites of 2008.
1. Left 4 Dead
Co-Op Zombie Killing? HELL YES! Once again Valve has proved that with hard work anything is possible and this game is no exception. The game takes a pretty cool approach with the way you play… Continue
So many cool things have come out this year, The Dark Knight, Iron Man, Fallout 3, Grand Theft Auto 4, Metal Gear Soild 4 and now Sackboy from Little Big Planet is getting in on the Soild snake action.
Here the video

The Metal Gear Soild DLC for Little Big Planet is out on December 23rd and i am going to get this as soon as i get the game for Christmas
As we've seen the proverbial rise and fall of the underwear stain known as Star Wars: The Clone Wars in theaters, I looked forward to the Spill Crew's unkind damnations toward the film. While I did enjoy the crews' rants against the piece of garbage, Leon (being the agitator of most of my misery in this world, obviously), revealed that he was surprised that the story with potential, the video game The Force Unleashed, was more… Continue
