Argo (2012) Review

Rating-Better Than Sex!!!   Argo is a beautifully acted, fascinating, dark, gorgeously shot, thrilling, and often heartbreaking masterpiece. But what truly is the best part of the film is Ben Affleck, with this not only has he proven himself one of the best actors in Hollywood right now but he has also proven himself to be one of the best directors in the industry. One of the best movies I have seen in a long…

Ti West To Adapt Ben H. Winter's 'Bedbugs' For The Screen

Good night, sleep tight, don't let the bed bugs bite...or else. The bedbug infestation of major cities, like New York for example, was all over the news for a while; long enough to inspire horror author Ben H. Winters to pen his novel 'Bedbugs.' The story revolves around a family who moves into a new home and are immediately confronted with bizarre happenings. The matriarch of the family is suffering what she suspects are bedbug bites until she realizes she's the only one…

The Vow Review

With all of the strikes that the film has against it from its very conception, it still manages to surprise the most cynical man of romantic films. It has Channing Tatum in it, who is clearly not the best actor working in Hollywood. The marketing campaign for this film is marketing it like a Nicholas Sparks movie when it's not actually based on a novel by Nicholas Sparks. It's "inspired or based on true events" even though the various details between the real life story and the film's…

Starting out 2011 with Spill European Events

*UPDATE* - We had a GREAT time on New Year's Eve! We met with six Spillios, four of which stuck with us until the end of the night. We went to a club where a bought the guys a bottle of Jack. We drank, danced with girls, made fools of ourselves, and made plans for the next night. We even made our plans for going to the Croatian coast this summer! Great trip so far and much love to my new friends! I sleep now feeling very happy.

Can't we just shut up and get along?! A Misanthropic rant we can all agree with...

So as everyone not buried under a rock or a rock like amount of work, there have been a lot of hate based crimes lately. The first started with the attempted bombing of the two synagogues in the Bronx earlier in May. Then came the murder of the doctor guy who does abortions. Finally some hate filled retard decided to shoot up the Holocaust Museum in DC, killing the security guard and injuring several others. After the first event, like most normal people, I said "what the fuck?" After the… Continue

Miley's Milestones: Looking back at 2008 Cinema

Everyone is bringing you their Top 10 favorite movies. Some of the wannabe originals are bringing you their Bottom Ten. But I feel no desire to make yet another one of those boring lists. This is not a list of the bets films of the year, or the worst films. No, this is a list of defining moments in the theater this year. Good or bad, some significant stuff surpassing mere movie quality happened this year, so, without further ado, here, in no particular order are the Ten Defining Moments of… Continue
