The amount of ridiculousness contained within the Dragonball franchise is virtually immeasurable. With a roster of characters that continues to grow, increasingly convoluted stories and some downright gratuitous animation, Dragonball is a mighty beast. If you wanted a podcast to summarize the series for you...look elsewhere. This is an episode for nostalgia. This is buddies just reveling in the hilarity and awesome that Dragonball was and is as…Continue
For the last twenty-five years, Hollywood has generally held video-game adaptations into film with the same, consistent regard or lack thereof. For the most part, video game films have been the retarded stepchildren of film adaptations, producing a half-decent
installment every now and again but generally failing in nearly…
Greetings, my name is Gabe and as a new member (though I have listened to Spill.com reviews for some time now) I believe it is my duty to give at least one thing to the community. For my first blog post, I will submit a written review of the Dragonball: Evolution movie. And yeah I will see it, even though I have doubts on how good it is going to be. However the rest of you may submit your own written reviews of the movie. There are some standards I would like you all to meet… Continue
A long time ago, back in 1984, a Japanese manga writer began writing a series that would one day engulf the world.
There are many rumors and speculations about how the series was started. It is said that after writing one series, the author ran out of ideas and wanted to start anew. It is said that after the success and newfound wealth that came with it from his first series, the author managed to get himself so deeply in debt that he put all his hopes in a new series hoping that it would… Continue

As mentioned in a previous posting, Japan tends to get a lot of movies aired much later than in the US. Often times, movies will hit the big screen in Japan when the DVDs are already in circulation in the states. Sometimes movies will debut at the same time, but those are usually the summer blockbusters. The only time Japan will get a movie before the US is when the movie is Japanese, Chinese or Korean in origin.
However, at long last a Hollywood movie is being released in Japan… Continue

In total 27 episodes I think. And the Goku series is still running.
This is a fantastic anime. One of the best Ive seen in a while. It is very random and wierd yet it has a method to its madness. It tells the story of Itoshiki Nozomu, a reluctant homeroom teacher who see his life… Continue

When I heard news that people are green-liting the new Dragonball movie based of the mangas by Akira Toriyama, I already knew that its gonna suck, hard and dry. While never a fan of Dragonball, I do enjoy watching from time to time and its fun seeing huge testosterone jocks duking each other out with energy blasts and earth-shattering moves. This series has elements of chinese mythology, weird characters, interplanetary scenarios and hardcore battles where anything is possible. A series like… Continue

Source: DBthemovie DBthemovie.com has posted the full teaser trailer for Dragonball.
The film adaptation stars Justin Chatwin, James Marsters, Jamie Chung, Emmy Rossum, Eriko Tamura, Joon Park, Chow Yun-Fat, Texas Battle, Randall Duk Kim and Ernie Hudson.
Now usually I try to stay out of debates when I really have no grasp what exactly is going on, especially in a situation this week with FOX trying to "shutdown" Watchmen. But coming across a story like really this really makes you wonder. Here's an excerpt.
"This week we received word from an anonymous source that there may be some truth to this speculation after all. According to our tipster, the higher-ups at Fox are not too impressed the footage that has been shot…Continue
Lord Piccolo Speaks Marsters talks up the Dragonball movie.
by Jim Vejvoda
July 11, 2008 - Actor James Marsters has been busy talking up the big-screen, live-action version of the anime classic Dragonball, wherein the former Buffy star plays the green-skinned villain Lord Piccolo.
"Definitely the story of this movie is different from the original. But it's a necessary change because we need to condense the long story of…Continue
