If it's crap ... We'll tell you
In this our 67th episode of the Braingasm Podcast we were joined by our two reporters in the field, Scott Johnson (@scottpjthouhgts) and Denis McElwaine (@den1981). They joined us to talk about their recent assignments to cover the event known as Spill Dot Con. But we'll get to that a little later.
We began as we do every week with Scott pondering as to whether "67" should/does have a sex position named after it. Listening to it in context it makes no more sense I'm…Continue

It just dawned on us - now that it's 2012 this could be our last SPILL DOT CON! Guess we better make this the best Spill Dot Con ever. Not that we wouldn't do that anyway.
We have an official site coming soon, but why wait to tell you about the great time we have in store for you. We've kept some fun traditions that have become…Continue
Sorry I haven't gotten around to writing this after the Spill Dot Con Party as I was still settling down here back in Australia after a long flight home.
So what is this blog post about? Well it is just a big thank you to the people of Spill. No I'm not leaving this place, why would I? I just want to express my biggest appreciation and gratitude toward this wonderful website for giving me every day of my life a little more color.
I learned about this place by…Continue
I've gotten a lot of requests to post the movie I made for the Spill Film Festival this year, so I wanted to post it here for you all. For it being only my first year entering the festival, I am nothing but proud of receiving 2nd place. Congrats again to Stephan for making a great film again this year. To be honest, I'm just happy that everyone seems to be enjoying my film so much, and that's all I hoped for with this movie.

*UPDATE - Looks like we've had a change of venue for our Sunday night party. Our last evening of festivities will now be held at ICENHAUER, one of our very favorite spots here in Austin. So, a few months back, I promoted a short film I've been working on. My follow-up to my Spill.Con film Spill: The Real Deal. It was a comedy called 1-900. It even got a mention by Spill's own Cyrus on his Facebook feed.
Well, it had a screening last night at Pittsburgh's Melwood Screening Room as part of the Senior Thesis Screening by Pittsburgh Filmmakers.
For weeks, I've seen posters at all the PFM…Continue
As you plan your trip to Austin for Spill Dot Con, we'd like to offer a few suggestions in perhaps the most important part of the process - where to stay. After 4 years of partying with you guys we've picked a few of the more popular options the out-of-towners have made their home away from home.
All of the hotels below and more can be found at…Continue
So for those who missed out on the USTREAM premiere and Q & A, here's the best version of the film I could post up on Vimeo. It's a little bit different from the the one I aired on Sunday the 6th, but not by much. If you like this film, have any comments, or just wanna give your old buddy Matt some encouragement (or money), leave a comment below, and as always, ENJOY THE FILM!!
Hey, folks. MJ here.
Been crazy busy since the week I spent in Austin for Spill Dot Con. Got back into animation, been writing, doing a podcast, doing college and figuring out what's next.
Being in Senior Thesis right now, I've been hard at work on my first live-action film production since my .Con film "Spill: The Reel Deal". It's a dialogue-based comedy called 1-900.
Here's the poster:
And more parties:…
