Though not due out in theaters until 2015, Warner Brothers is sure taking tiny little baby steps toward the production of their Justice League movie. Still no word on a director nor even a firm idea of which version of its tent pole characters (Batman,… Continue

Still not entirely sure of what to think about Dreamwork's upcoming animated film 'Rise of the Guardians.' First of all, for those confused by the similar titles, no, it has nothing to do with owls. It is basically an 'Expendables' of childhood imaginary characters. Recently, these two new clips from… Continue

When the first trailer for Disney's 'Wreck-It Ralph' hit the web, one of the things that had me immediately on board was the appearance of several classic videogame characters, including a room full of gaming baddies. This latest clip from the movie, starring John C. Reillyas a not-so-bad videogame bad guy, gives… Continue

As Marvel's Phase 2 gets under way, with several of its tentpole characters in the midst of filming their next solo adventures, our collective intrigue surrounding 'The Avengers 2' looms. Much speculation has been flying about regarding villains, stories, and possible additions to the team. Though few concrete… Continue

It's been awhile since I've anticipated an animated film as much as I'm anticipating Disney's 'Wreck-It Ralph. 'The talent assembled, the clever story, and the unbridled classic videogame nostalgia is a recipe for a big win in my book. Recently, these new character posters hit the web that further emphasize exactly why so many of us geeks are excited about 'Wreck-It Ralph.' There is of… Continue

As a living, breathing movie geek, I'm not sure how it would be possible for me not to be excited about Peter Jackson's return to Middle-earth with 'The Hobbit.' So far, none of the clips, trailers, or images we've seen have done anything to curb my enthusiasm for the epic new film. These new images from… Continue

While the world seems to be divided on Pixar's next animated film, 'Brave' (due to the critical disappointment in 'Cars 2' and persistent rumors of behind-the-scenes disagreements after Disney's takeover of the company), there's no debating that at the very least it will look incredible. Pixar has always strived to maintain an interesting look for their characters and worlds, and it seems that… Continue

December 2009, a much simpler time. Exictment was building for future films such as "Avatar", "Sherlock Holmes" and of course "Alvin and The Chimpmunks, the squeakeul". Little did the world know that they were about to be introduced to the most rambuctious family to ever hit television since the Cosbys. Season one of the shore introduced us to a great cast of characters. Body freak the situation, spikey haired Pauly, Tig Bitties Jwoww, Sammi Sweatheart, family man Vinny Big Ron and lil Snookie.… Continue

First, it should be stated that the story is based on religious legends, and sponsored by some questionable religious organization. The plot of the story is based on the concept that people’s minds are beginning to sink in darkness that is the key sign for Buddha’s rebirth. A girl who is able to see spirits of various people, as well as spirits of the future is one of the main characters of the story, nevertheless, a story makes her… Continue

The goal of Richard Curtis's latest film, the rock'n' roll era period piece "Pirate Radio," was not to question the cost of of being awesome; it was simply to be awesome. I would go as far as to say I could no find real theme in this film, but only casual, quotable mentions of theme that should have been more subtly weaved into the fabric of the story rather than expertly delivered acting-wise, but nonetheless vomited out by the characters to remind the viewer that the story Curtis is telling… Continue

Memorable characters in TV Shows and films probably hold more weight than any other media element out there. You could be revolted, bored or angered by a show but you always had that one show every now and then that epic failed with everything but one character who you ended up loving.
You'd hope that that would mean that a golden character's 'ultimate' fate - when it finally comes - would be sealed up in a protective bubble by writers and… Continue

With this list I tried to compile the top 15 movie characters that I personally enjoyed the most and remembered the last 10 years. As with any list that I try to make, there's bound to be someone or something that I forgot, but these are the ones I keep coming back to. So without further ado....

How many ways can I say brilliant? M. Knight does it again! After his smash hit with lady in the water I didn't think he could pull off another PERFECT film such as this one! This movie is about some sort of occurrence in which people stop dead in their tracks and start spouting beautifully artistic soliloquies before taking their own life, all against their own will. The film begins with one of these elegantly crafted sequences followed by a short educational scene, and then descends into… Continue

As a proud Irish-Canadian, I thought I would compile a list of the greatest Irish, Irish-Whatever characters in film, at least in my opinion, feel free to add your thoughts and complaints. Enjoy.
5. Declan "Deco" Cuffe (The Commitments)
Most of the Irish are depicted as a bunch of cheery boozers, but the film industry sometimes fails to show that, just like the rest of the world, Ireland has some assholes too, and it never helps if… Continue

Man, it's been a while since I've updated. I need to update with some reviews of some (craptacular) movies, but first something awesome!
I love my Abnormal Psych class. I get to watch two movies, then act as if the (main) characters in the movie came in to see me for a clinical visit at my office. I have to diagnose the psychological disorder the character has and write a paper on it. How awesome is that?
The paper isn't due for a while, but I'm not sure what movies to do.… Continue
