Could Man of Steel Break the Superman Curse?

Let's face it, Superman is in a horrible place in today's society. He might be the original superhero and the classic example of what superheroes can be but like Captain America's deal in The Avengers, things have changed in the seventy or seventy-five years that have past us by as a…

Comic news: Watchmen Prequel Comics? and my opinion on them

I found out from IGN that on Christmas Day Bleeding Cool posted pictures of Watchmen prequel comics namely of Nite Owl(most likely Dan) and Comedian, while these have been taken down I'm slightly sad that they're moving on with this without Alan Moore's participation(who's been very vocal about continuing watchmen's story)

My view on this: Since I know…

Watchmen Preacher On The "Star Wars," Blu Rays

Despite what the man has said in the past about Spill.com and the some members in the Spill community, you cant argue with the guy when it comes to his opinions on movies, especially when it comes down to hollywood fucking everything good in cinema and raping its innocense.  That's why I felt that his newest video needed to be seen by the Spill Community and hopefully by the rest of the…

My thoughts before, and during the first ten minutes of "Watchmen".

I find it incredibly difficult to comprehend the levels of disappointment that I had felt after this films credits rolled. This film had a bigger build up than any film that I remember. Cloverfield had nothing on this

bitch. I was so overly hyped just by the eittle snippets and hints that the

gave to this movies production in the HBO special:

Comic Books Unbound. I spent almost a half-hour just trying to find a downloadable trailer…

Skellingjack's Top ten favorite movies of 2009

Now I know I might be a bit late with this blog but I wanted to say what my favorites films of 2009 were. Now I already made a Blog about my top ten favorite films of 2009 awhile back but I wanted to make another one for two reasons. 1. Some of my opinions have changed for the films from my last top ten, which means I some of the movies that I put on my last top ten list are gone from this list and some of the ones that were on the last list are on a different now, and 2. My last blog didn't…

Do trailers spoil movies?

The short answer is: YES! Having said that, there are a few exceptions. I saw the trailer for the Coen brothers new film “A Serious Man” in the theater recently and it was so convoluted, I couldn’t figure out what the hell it was about. For the most part, however, I have come to the conclusion that most trailers give away too much of the films. “The Hangover” is just one of many movies that revealed its best joke/jokes in the trailer. How many times have you seen a film where you’ve already… Continue

Watchmen vs. Coraline: Fanboy DVD of the Week

If you’re a fan of film like me with limited cash, what to buy on July 21st was a hard decision to reach. The film adaptation of the most revered Graphic Novel of all time or Henry Selick’s new Stop-motion wonder. With the increasing price of Blu-Ray and DVD’s and Special Editions abound, I thought I’d help in reaching the decision that I have made and several of you may have to make.

Watchmen The Director's Cut DVD Review

WATCHMEN, arguably the greatest Graphic Novel ever written. It changed the face of comics forever; I remember hanging out at my comic shop waiting for when I had enough money to get the book. Of course being a teenager in this day-in-age, I had never heard of Watchmen until the announcement of the movie. So I got really hyped, and I really wanted to read the book. But hey, you don't want to here me talk about what Watchmen did to me, you’re here to read a review.…

Charles Dickens, William Shakespeare and Batman: Equality for Comics.

How many graphic novels can you name that would count as literature? There's Watchmen, naturally. And Maus, you can't forget that one! Oh, and The Dark Knight Returns... and eh... Persepolis... that would count too... hmmm. The high art of graphic novels sort of stops… Continue

The Incredibles vs. Watchmen

Today is my birthday, and birthdays have become rather boring after going through the alienating trauma that is high school. Yeah, I should have gotten over it before turning 21 thanks to college, but that never happened.

So instead of going out and getting shit-faced drunk with what few friends I still have, I popped in my copy of The Incredibles and curled up with my dog to watch it on the family Christmas present, also known as the 52-inch HDTV and Blu-ray player.

And… Continue

OK, I know the movie just came out, but for all of you Watchmen fans out there, I have put in mind the best idea for a Collector's Edition of Watchmen. now I'm not good with using my photoshop so I didn't really make a cover for it, but I think these three covers would be my choices:
