There are some films where it's easy to saturate a review with praises and there are others where it's easy to harp on its fault throughout. "Neon Genesis Evangelion: You Are (Not) Alone" is not one of those films. This is a film that not only asks of a reviewer to judge it, but it also leaves him/her with the burden of deciding its place artistically and demographically. That's why this this may be one of the hardest reviews I've ever written.
