What will happen to the League now that Cyrus has returned? Well, time will tell, but for now, it's business as usual only with the old guard back in the fold. This week, along with some Cyrus catch-up time and the regular run down of the news, we get into a full spoilers discussion on Season 3 of The Walking Dead and Season 1 of Arrow. Oh, and what's this? A new reoccurring Kayla segment? What's not to love? Check it....…

Shaping More Than A Movie: Ralph McQuarrie (1929-2012)

Another person whom the public probably knows nothing about, but is familiar with his work the world over, has passed.

Ralph McQuarrie was originally a painter for Boeing aircrafts before he was recruited to do conceptual paintings for STAR WARS after George Lucas had seen some pictures of his work. He commissioned Ralph to do paintings to help visualize his ideas to help sell his…

Underrated Movie Theater: Return of the Jedi

It's unbelievable how much more praise Empire Strikes Back gets over its sibling films. Everyone only seems to remember the infamous "Luke, I am your father" line, Yoda's gibberish talk, and the Tauntauns. Besides those described items, there doesn't seem to be an overabudance of highlights. I'm here today to talk about the film that I felt was the best of original trilogy and the one that's been spurned by Star Wars fans: Return of the Jedi. When I talk…

Spock on Fringe?

anyone else here that they are thinking about giving leonard nemoy back on fringe. What do you guys think. Honestly im not a trekkie but i have seen some of Leonard Nemoys acting and it is very good if you ask me just being able to show up in a reboot of his old franchise and be incorparated in it was just awesome. I also think it would save fringe from the friday death slot. I think it would be very good IF he got the job and im rooting for him to get it. If you are wondering where i heard… Continue

Why I Like the Prequels

Back in the 1970’s, a young director named George Lucas set out to create a little space drama called Star Wars. From there, everyone knows what happened: The franchise was a smash hit and went on to spawn 2 sequels, The Empire Strikes Back and Return of the Jedi. After Return of the Jedi was released in 1983, it is rumored that Lucas lost his mind and was committed to an insane asylum for 14 years. Or at least that is the only logical reason for what was to come after. Upon his release (or… Continue

Kriss Kross's Star Wars Blog Bothers Me.

As some one who has Star Wars in his blood (or at least on my skin for life) I ask you to please not try to defend the series. "Jenga Fett" was my first reason to dislike your diatribe that is both four years out of date an unnecessary. Jenga being a great party game (especially when you have a couple beers tucked away) and Jango being the father of Boba. From here I'll just pick apart your blog with my reaction as one of the most die hard Star Wars freaks in the nation.

The World's Dark And Depressing. You Need A Speech!

These speeches send chills down the spine and fire to the groins. They make you stand up and tell your boss, that stuck-up, arrogant wanker, to go fuck himself. They make you stand up in the middle of the cinema, saluting and screaming with passion, thoroughly embarrassing your friends. They make you look at the world around you and say "This world is mine. And this life is mine to live." These are the moments where, despite everything in the way; every enemy and opponent, every obstacle and… Continue

Race To Witch Mountain

Dewayne 'the Rock' Johnson staked his claim in this PG-rated Disney adventure. It's a great movie, every bit as good as it's 70's counterparts 'Escape To Witch Mountain' and 'Return From Witch Mountain.' From the onset it's non-stop action as Dewayne a down on his luck racecar driver/ex-con is stuck in Sin City driving a cab. He meets up with said kid aliens and from there the adventure starts. The Rock does good for himself in stretching his acting chops (which I've always thought he was… Continue
