On the eve of Batman's somewhat controversial casting, I thought I'd share my thoughts on what WB is doing, and what I'd like to see them do.
Firstly, Man of Steel was a good way to start the new universe. I'd rather them do a straight up Superman-centric sequel, but bringing in Batman makes sense. Seeing this much destruction to Metropolis, plus this being first-contact with aliens, I can't see Batman sitting on his chair in the batcave, and doing nothing. After all, his goal is to…Continue

Now that Christopher Nolan has concluded his Batman saga, he's going back to large-scale science fiction with 'Interstellar.' The film is based on a screenplay by Christopher Nolan's…Continue
Now that The Dark Knight trilogy is done, director Christopher Nolan is returning to grand-scale science-fiction, much like his 2010 opus …Continue
Ok, Last summer we had THE DARK KNIGHT RISES which was ok, This summer we get the MAN OF STEEL. Ok, I understand these are iconic characters but it seems like hollywood only wants to throw these 2 characters at us and the whole DC Universe is bigger than Superman and Batman. So here's my suggestion for a GOOD Superman movie since I have a feeling MAN OF STEEL won't be any good.…Continue

First of all, let's look over the plot summary of the Dark Knight trilogy as the definitive Batman story on film. Rumors are everywhere these days, and we always take them with a grain of salt, but if even one of today's batch of 'Justice League' rumors is true, a new era may be dawning at Warner Brothers. According to Latino Review,…Continue
With all the marketing that preceded Christopher Nolan's 'The Dark Knight Rises,' it's hard to believe that they would've turned down any proposed artwork. These three posters from Trailer Park, however, somehow got left out. They were in the running with WB, but apparently Art Machine won the bid. I…Continue
After half a century of being one of the most indelible characters in pop culture across the globe, it's only appropriate to ask whether or not James Bond is relevant even to the world of cyber-terrorism. Bond has gone through quite a lot over the years and he's the only iconic character that has consistently lasted…Continue

So what do you guys think?
Despite my feelings about the movie (really good, but not nearly as good as I would have expected) there's no question that this is gonna be one of the biggest Christmas buys this year. I'm looking forward to seeing it again, and I'll probably end up watching every single one of the bonus features, like I have for both of the…Continue
Rarely does a science fiction film make you really think about philosophical questions that are nearly impossible to answer but whenever one does come along, it's always a real treat. The same goes for time travel stories. It is so rare to find an excellent example of what a time travel movie should be because whenever…Continue

Of all the superheroes in all the world, Batman is one of the most iconic and legendary. Why is that? Is it his great fortune? His ultimate humanity? His unique symbol or quest for justice? Or is it partly the fact that he has spawned some of the greatest villains in all of modern literature, never minding their origins in comic book form? Yes, it is safe to say that Batman's rogues' gallery is arguably the greatest in all of comic books simply because each villain has a fascinating thing…Continue
