New 'Despicable Me 2' Teaser Trailer
Glossing over the fact that Universal missed a major pun opportunity by not calling their upcoming 'Despicable Me' sequel 'Despicable Me Too,'the first teaser trailer for the film has just landed on line. What I like about it is that it plays like its own short film starring the minions. I don't know how much of the footage from the teaser will end up in the movie, as it seems so geared…

Paranormal Activity 4 Review
Paranormal Activity 4
This was a movie that I honestly have been waiting a year to see. The third film in the franchise was a great addition and added a lot to the mythology. I was expecting this film to advance that and add more, and to have me come back at midnight next year. Sadly, that is not the case. Though it did have a strong final five minutes this film is really just a rush job to capitalize on the franchise and it is showing diminishing…

The Omen
The Omen 1976
The Omen is one of my all-time favorite horror movies. A chilling tale disguised as a Blockbuster. We all know the story of young Damien, born and then adopted as by Robert Thorn ambassador to Rome and eventually to Great Britain. Is he an innocent boy or is he The Anti-Christ? We all know that he is the anti-Christ and that he is set to bring about Armageddon. The story though simple is an amazing one and the film is truly a masterpiece.
The first thing that we…

Hellraiser 1987
Hellraiser 1987
This is a movie that I eagerly wanted to watch and give my opinion on for quite some time. Growing up watching a lot of horror movies, Hellraiser seemed to slip under my radar. I was always more into the slashers like Michel Myers, and Freddy Kruger then the thinking man’s killer like Pinhead. Let’s honestly boil it down. Michael and Jason were silent killers, machines that would stop and nothing to kill. They were often adaptable in their methods but nothing rally…

Review of Dracula 1931
Dracula
I am a huge fan of The Universal Monsters. In my formative years I would rent them from the local Blockbuster (Do those even still exist anymore?) and watch them intently. I was a student of Whale, and Browning. I loved to watch Jack Arnold‘s Creature From The Black Lagoon. As I grew older and became more of a student of film I slowly forgot about these films. When the films were rereleased on DVD I was able to pick them up enjoying the nostalgia factor and that was about it.…
