The trailer for Elysium is out and I can't contain my excitement. I haven't felt like this about a movie trailer since I saw the first trailer for the first Lord of The Rings movie, back when the idea of a LOTR franchise on the silver screen was nothing but a dream to the readers.
I will try to explain the reason for my excitement, but It is hard to put into words that are meaningful to others. For example, the trailer shows a world that I want to see, the few images on this…Continue

We finally have another epic story that can take the Harry Potter formula to the next logical step. Harry Potter was a phenomenon unlike any other. It got an entire generation to read, it broke all grounds in terms of what Hollywood epics were capable of, and it…Continue
Palms to Heaven, friend, and welcome to another edition of Spill in D.C. Despite the hot weather reaching well into the 100s in the District, a crew of Spillios (Ewok Princess, Moxie, Ken-K and two of his friends, and myself) gathered last weekend to talk shit, discuss Cons, and other discussions that spurred out of the movie of the day: Cowboys and…Continue

There are few adversaries who hit home for the Caped Crusader as much as the duplicitous psychopath known as Two-Face. This fallen district attorney and friend of Bruce Wayne represents a casualty in
the heart of the Dark Knight, as he was one of the tortured souls that
Batman could not save and was the one who had all the potential to
further Batman’s goal of permanently cleaning up the corrupted city of
Gotham. Paired off…

Now I know I might be a bit late with this blog but I wanted to say what my favorites films of 2009 were. Now I already made a Blog about my top ten favorite films of 2009 awhile back but I wanted to make another one for two reasons. 1. Some of my opinions have changed for the films from my last top ten, which means I some of the movies that I put on my last top ten list are gone from this list and some of the ones that were on the last list are on a different now, and 2. My last blog didn't…Continue
For some reason this film was advertised about a romantic trance between a torn-woman and the messenger, but it is not that at all. This is a film that effectively shows the dramatic effect that war can put on veterans, that are beautifully portrayed by Harrelson… Continue

The surprise of the summer. Besides seeing some movie posters and the standard trailer, I had heard next to nothing about this film. All I knew going in was that it had aliens and a budget of $30 million.
