If it's crap ... We'll tell you
My two favorite characters were Gus and Mike, and, when they were both supporting Jesse, Jesse got as close to having a quiet and unassuming life as he's ever been and behaved like he appreciated it. In fact, if you look at the series as a whole, it's clear that Jesse valued good relationships more than anything. That made him easy to like and easy to relate to. If you think he deserved to be punished for allowing himself to be led, fine, but, I don't think you appreciate how Walt and…Continue

In this our 111th episode of the Braingasm Podcast we bid farewell to one of the finest television programs in the history of shows about chemistry teachers cooking meth…Breaking Bad.
We began as we do every week…by not talking about Breaking Bad for like a hot minute.
After that it was right into the action. We broke down the final 75 minutes and talked about literally everything we…Continue

My hatred of Walt sprouted during Box Cutter and grew in the seasons that followed it. It's impossible to talk about my hatred of Walt without discussing my admiration for Gus. In Box Cutter, the shedding of blood revealed Gus as the true King of crime. It was like a twisted Bible story. The throat of a valued employee slit, life taken as the price for Walt's sin, as a consequence of Walt's treason. It also served to demonstrate Gus's control over life and death in his kingdom. Jesse, a long…Continue

In this our 76th episode of the Braingasm Podcast we are joined by our rogues gallery Scott Johnson (@scottpjthoughts), Vincent Rivano (@theshiny1) and Rob Sprance (@robsprance).
We began as we do every week by doing none of the things that we do every week.
As the title suggests this is our much anticipated Breaking Bad episode. The episode is devoted entirely to a long and sweeping discussion of our favourite show on the air right now.
This is a very…Continue

Hmm.... *looks at the poster again* I should make it rather clear right now that this is not my territory of film or literature. Sure, I'm a bit of a geek and a bit of a Brony too (yes, I admit that with no shame at all), but this? Nope, this really encapsulates all the wrong ways to speak to the teenage girl audience. I can say this with absolute confidence after…Continue

Well, this was it. The season finale, the moment we've all been closely awaiting. And HOLY SHIT did Vince Gilligan and crew pull a full measure.
Breaking Bad finales have not neccesarily been the best episodes in the series. More…Continue
