Bale accused of family assault

"Batman star Christian Bale has been accused of assaulting his mother and sister.

The star's mother Jenny, 61, and sister Sharon, 40, claim Bale lashed out at London's Dorchester Hotel on Sunday night. The pair filed their allegation at a police station in Hampshire, England on Monday.

But authorities were reluctant to speak to Bale on Monday - because he was promoting his new movie, The Dark Knight, in London.

A source tells British newspaper The Sun, "It… Continue

My movie going experience....

Why do people go to the movies if they're just going to text message, or talk LOUDLY...

I saw two movies last weekend... Hellboy 2 and the Dark Knight twice

The Midnight showing of Dark Knight, I happen to sit next to one of those guys who makes it his mission to laugh the loudest and the longest at anything... even when it's not funny. There are times in the Dark Knight where the joker is funny... but NOT ALL OF THEM! This same jerk decided it was a great idea to talk on… Continue

Cyrus Presents a Review From Desire for the "Pete Kelly's Blues" DVD

Warner Brothers has been unloading a lot of their back titles lately on DVD in generally nice fixed-up, if not elaborate, re-releases. As a fan of movie history from the beginning till the moment that film hit it's high mark with "The Dark Knight" (I couldn't resist) I love finally getting a chance to see some of these forgotten classics. Just coming out is the "Eastwood Jazz…

Cyrus Reviews the "Birds of Prey: The Complete Series" DVD

The casual comics fan remains blissfully ignorant of Earth-2, but it’s made for many headaches for DC Comics. The parallel Earth, and its doubling of characters in the DC pantheon, made for some confusing reading at points. While their never-ending “Crisis” series was intended to do away with the parallel Earths… Continue

Wow ...

Only thing I can think of is...

Dark Knight may be the best movie I've ever seen...

Wow Imdb users just amaze me.

Look people I know The Dark Knight is a good movie and it deserves the acclaim it's getting. But Imdb users have made The Dark Knight the #1 movie of all time. Which according to the list that would make The Godfather the #2 movie and The Shawshank Redemption #3 movie of all time. I mean just look at the list and tell me if you agree with The Dark Knight being Number One. href="http://www.imdb.com/chart/top">

I Know some people just Love the hell out of this movie, but do… Continue

Oooh Lala! Pin-Up of Watchmen's Sally Jupiter

Source: James Jean

James Jean created this illustration for the Watchmen movie that can be seen briefly in the trailer. He writes on his site:

At 1:32 into the Watchmen trailer, you can see a glimpse of an illustration I did for the movie. Alex McDowell asked me to create a Vargas-esque portrait of Sally Jupiter, played by Carla Gugino. It only appears for 1 second in the trailer, but the illustration is supposed to play a larger role in that particular… Continue

Too close for comfort

Man, I'm sure that someone has already commented on this by this by now. I wouldn't know since I don't follow entertainment news, but the dark quality of the new Batman movie, Dark Knight, along with the Jokers new look, and Heath Ledgers untimely death reminded me a lot of Brandon Lee. I can practically hear STP singing "The Big Empty" as I write this. They both died accidental deaths at the age of 28 after after playing similar looking characters. It's crazy and…

Leno's last 'Tonight' is May 29; O'Brien in June 1

BEVERLY HILLS, Calif. (AP) — Conan O'Brien will take over the "Tonight" show next June — and what happens to deposed host Jay Leno after that is anybody's guess.

Leno's last show will be Friday, May 29, and O'Brien will start the following Monday, June 1, NBC executives told a Television Critics Association meeting Monday.

NBC is angling to keep Leno with NBC Universal but the late-night king has indicated he's ready to jump ship. Eager NBC competitors, including other… Continue

An Era Comes to an End! Ebert and Roeper to leave...Ebert & Roeper!

So it would appear that the times, they are a changin'. After the announcement yesterday that Richard Roeper would be leaving the long running At The Movies television show - we were treated to a one two punch as industry titan Roger Ebert finally made the announcement we all knew was coming. He too is parting ways with the show, never to return to the seat in the balcony he made so famous. And while this news isn't exactly something that will send shockwaves through the industry - it is a huge… Continue

Jim Carrey, He Say "Yes!" New poster from comedy flick

"Now that he's got all that talking elephant and numerological obsession nonsense out of the way, Jim Carrey can finally get down to the serious business of comedy.

The rubbery-faced one follows up Horton Hears A Who and The Number 23 with Yes Man, a funny flick based on Brit writer Danny Wallace’s memoirs about a fella who challenges himself to say “Yes” to everything for an entire year.

Judging by the new poster showing on IMP Awards, it’s shaping up to be a return to… Continue

Sean Connery plays the stereotypical Scotsman with his son

Even though he was raised in a two-bedroom house with no bathroom and left school at 13 to push barrows for a little over £1 a week, "James Bond" told his son Jason that he would NEVER receive a penny of his £85million fortune.

Sean Connery has determined that Jason should pursue a career and earn his… Continue
