So, I was wrecking my brain cells trying to come up with a list of out-of-work or having-little-work actors who would be hilariously paired up with a peer of theirs for fictional porno situations. In my head, the piece was hilarious. Just think about it: ‘80s/’90s superstar desperate for cash and/or attention seeks out fellow ex-superstar/co-worker for pleasurable on-screen time in hopes to make it big again. Career revivals are hilarious, mostly because they do, in fact, involve porno most of… Continue

Hey Spill, how are you today?
I'm fine, thanks for asking. I just came back from a screening of the new James Bond flick, and boy was it disappointing! Warning, minor spoilers.
The opening scene is very cool and has a lot of potential as do many other stunts throughout the movie...but what's with the Bourne-ish editing? I couldn't figure out half the shit that was going on most of the time and I really felt like the way the… Continue

I love the Friday the 13th films to an almost psychotic degree but even I will admit that most of them are not good films. Fun films to be sure, but not good films. I’m not entirely sure exactly why I like them so much, there’s just something about the silent, plodding killer that I love so much. That and the sheer stupidity of the characters he kills. Perhaps my favourite example of this is in one of the earlier films. I’m not exactly sure which but I think it might be number… Continue

Comingsoon.net has posted the bad news for 'KOTH' fans and the good news for 'American Dad' fans.
After several previous brushes with cancellation, Fox has opted not to renew veteran animated comedy "King of the Hill" beyond its current 13th season.
In April, Fox picked up 13 more episodes from the 20th Century Fox TV-produced show, which are wrapping production.
A lot has changed since "King of the Hill" premiered in 1997. Its creators Greg Daniels and Mike… Continue

Being the poor, miserable waitress that I am, I rarely drag myself away from my apartment on my day off and pay ten dollars to see a movie in theaters. Instead I drag my comforter from my bed to my couch and wrap myself in my netflix cacoon so I can try to catch up all the films I've been missing. Sure, it seems like a waste of time reading a review for a movie you saw three months ago but if you're reading this then you probably dont have much else to do anyway. So please enjoy. And for the… Continue

Holy crap, guys! The world may officially be in apocalyptic mode with what I’m about to tell you: Hollywood has finally come up with a creative, never-before-seen concept for a horror movie! Alright, that’s a little drastic, I know, since there actually have been a very, very small handful of horror flicks to come out in the last few years, but when I read about and saw the trailer for Splinter
, which hits theaters in a limited release… Continue

Ok, I promise, tomorrow will not be a movie featured in MST3K. In fact, it’ll be a super awesome Halloween special edition of Great Scenes from Bad Films! Awesome. But Mari Nickl reminded of Pumaman and I just had to include it. It was another great Mike era episode and this film really deserved the MST3K treatment. Allow me to elaborate.
The film opens with a paragraph regaling us with the Aztec legend of a God descending from the heavens, fucking an Aztecette and fathering the… Continue

With "The Haunting of Molly Hartley" coming up and with the annoying PG-13 rating slapped on it, it's yet another one of these 'horror' films made only for the people who can't handle their R or NC-17 horror. Examples of PG-13 horror films that suck include:
One Missed Call (2008)
Prom Night (2008).
Cry Wolf (2005).
The Grudge (2004).
The Grudge 2 (2006).
The Eye (2008).
When a Stranger Calls (2006)
The Ring Two (2005).

When I heard Felissa Rose was making an appearance in the new Sleepaway Camp
movie, I told myself, "There is no way in HELL I'm watching that! That bitch is scary!" but then I thought to myself, "Well, she scared me once, so the chances of her scaring me again are slim to none, since I'll be expecting it." Well, the second half of me was right. Instead of following the first film, Return… Continue

For those of you who are going to see The Haunting of Molly Hartley
on Halloween (mostly because there aren’t many horror releases coming out that day), take a look at the trailer
again. Does Molly’s mom remind you of someone? She reminds me of a few scary-ass mothers I’ve seen in movies, especially horror flicks. Some of them make me laugh uncomfortably… Continue

As with yesterdays entry into the hallowed halls of shit cinema fame, this entry came to my attention through the stellar work of the crew at Mystery Science Theater 3000. This film was in what is possibly my favourite of the Mike era episodes, in fact it would probably be my favourite of all episodes if not for Manos. Everything about this episode is great, the riffs, the host segments with classics like Crow’s ‘In Search Of…’ style programme about women to the cardboard cut-outs of the crew… Continue

I've heard about this movie for a while now, and even seen it banner-advertised on this very site, so when I saw it was on Veoh
, I couldn't pass it up. I'll give the plot first, then what I did, and didn't, like about it.
This starts out with a news blurb explaining that due to the U.S. being involved in wars with Iran, Iraq, Lebanon, Syria, Canada, and Alaska (yeah, Alaska), troop numbers are way… Continue

Well, lets face it! Sometimes comic book movies are really good! But other times, they suck balls!
Here is the top 10 worst ones out there!
10. The Crow: Salvation
Well lets face it, The Crow was an awesome movie, but with this series they just got worse! You know, when it has staright to DVD attached to it, its probably going to be a piece of crap.
9. Superman Returns

these are my top 10 favorite....
.... movies that feature a dancin' Travolta in 'em (Yep.
Believe it or not, there are actually ten of 'em):
10. Lucky Numbers
A movie so forgettable, that I have nothing in my memory banks that would enable me to caption this.
9. Look Who's Talking Too

Like most people out there who have seen Manos: The Hands of Fate (Translation: Hands: The Hands of Fate) I became aware of it through Mystery Science Theater 3000. The episode is held in high regard amongst the shows fans and rightly so. It is, after all, awesome. Some of my favourite riffs I heard in the shows history come from this episode, as do some of my favourite segments. Such a thing is only possible with the just the right film, and Manos is just such a film.
Every frame is… Continue
