The Avengers: Earth's Mightiest Heroes TV Trailer

In case you thought you weren't going to see any new products come out of the Disney buy-out of Marvel, it appears that they made their first move at this year's Comic Con with the release of The Avengers: Earth's Mightiest Heroes trailer.

See that? At the very end? It says the show will be airring on DisneyXD. What is that, you may ask? Well, DisneyXD is essentially the Toonami block for Toon Disney. However, since Disney also owns ABC, there… Continue

Too much sodium can kill you: My review of Salt

The first thing I did was take my brain out and put it in a jar. Just from the trailer, I knew it was a serious Mr. and Mrs. Smith. Bullshit was coming and I was ready.

The movie is about a CIA agent that finds out that she is actually a Russian spy planted years ago. The kicker is, she is not the only one. There are hundreds of people like her running around waiting to strike. I like this story. To me, this would be a good TV show rather than a movie. But hey! I paid my…

The Men that Stare at Goats: Unique, interesting, enjoyable and entertaining

The Men who Stare at Goats is a movie based on a true story about a secret unit within the US Army called the First Earth Battalion, whose paranormal military ideas mutated over the decades to influence interrogation techniques at Guantanamo Bay. It has a very interesting story and a very well developed plot, its first 45 minutes… Continue

Iron Man 2: It is totally worthy

Iron Man 2 left me a very pleasant taste. Maybe it doesn't have the same amount of action than the first one but it is compensated with better CGI, a better developed plot and a more interesting story. Billionaire Tony Stark must contend with deadly issues involving the government, his own friends, as well as new enemies due to…

Kung-Fu Revu #20 - Ip Man

Synopsis:

'Ip Man' is a bio-pic about Wing Chun grandmaster Ip Man (Donnie Yen) and his struggle through the Second Sino-Japanese War.

Story Revu:

The sequel to 'Ip Man' came out earlier this year in China, but the first one (2008) is just coming out in the US this week. This is probably Donnie Yen's best… Continue

The Films of Terrence Malick

Mysterious and reclusive, Terrence Malick is in my opinion one of the greatest American filmmakers still active. His 37 year career in film making has only yielded 5 films, one of which is still in post-production, do to his rampant perfectionism. His films are often noted for their incredible cinematography and breathtaking shots of nature, and seem to break the… Continue

Box Office Predictions: July 23rd, 2010

All right guys, it’s that time of the week again as we look at what’s coming out and try and figure out much it’s going to make for its opening. Unlike previous weeks though, this one is

cut-and-dry, set in stone, and overwhelmingly one-sided in favor of a

certain action movie featuring a certain female mega superstar. Which

could that be? The name of the star seems to have slipped my mind. Oh

yeah, now I remember who it is. It’s Joey King, the female…

Cop Out: Its not worthy

Cop Out features two longtime NYPD partners on the trail of a stolen, rare, mint-condition baseball card who find themselves up against a merciless, memorabilia-obsessed gangster. The movie tries to be funny and at some moments it is but in general it just fails in everything. The story is kinda predictable and a little repetitive,… Continue
