Okay so I gave Suspiria another try and it did freak me out more this time. I think maybe cause I watched it alone. And yeah the soundtrack always freaked me out esp. how it will randomly say "WITCH!" in the middle of it.

Yeah Death Proof holds a special place in my heart since they filmed it in Austin. I tend to watch it when I'm outta state and feeling home sick. Probably not a good thing that it takes the depiction of a grotesque car crash to remind me of the comforts of home, but hey, we all got our own thing.

I really like Death Proof, I'm glad to meet someone else who does a lot of people really hate it. What do you think of Gone in 60 seconds (1974)?

I actually love The Driver, I'm a big Walter Hill fan and I LOVE old 70's car chase movies. Everytime I watch The Driver I always end up watching Dirty Mary Crazy Larry, and Vanishing Point. It really makes for a mean triple feature.

Oh I totally agree Hey Miss. Rosemary's baby was freaky! I didn't like Suspiria though. Yeah, I felt that a lot of 80's movies had good premises but they just ended up being jump out at you scary in the end. 70's horror was more made you scare yourself more than anything.

My Horror Movie Weekend

Because I watched nothing but horror movies for the entire month of October I needed some recovery time to clean my brain out. Basically my night time routine was becoming a bit much. Brush my teeth, close the door to the medicine cabinet, expect to see someone standing behind me. Lock the door, turn the lights off, go to bed. I locked the door, right? Maybe I’ll just check it again. What was that? Probably just the cat. Or a serial killer. Did I lock the back door? I can sit through many an… Continue

Four Scince Fiction Franchises That Will Probably Come True

Okay maybe not probably but in my mind possibly. Oh yes it can be argued that I’m a crazy person who watches too many movies but I had that conversation with my mother on Thanksgiving and I don’t want to have it again so lets just assume that I know what I’m talking about. Science fiction is a fun genre because we get to see all kinds of disasters play out without actually having to suffer through them. But if you’re like me and you have your survival trip to Canada planned out in case of… Continue

Dirty Mary, Crazy Larry

I don’t know how Dirty Mary, Crazy Larry has never crossed my path before because 1970s car movies are my kind of flicks. All I need to hear is muscle car plus crime plus police chase and I’m there. This is no Vanishing Point but its still a cool movie. I would say if anything it’s the poor man’s Bonnie and Clyde.

The title characters along with their mechanic Deke, played by Adam Roarke, pull a robbery and then spend the rest of the film… Continue

Movies That Came Out a Long Time Ago That I Just Got Around To Seeing: Hell Ride

Being the poor, miserable waitress that I am, I rarely drag myself away from my apartment on my day off and pay ten dollars to see a movie in theaters. Instead I drag my comforter from my bed to my couch and wrap myself in my netflix cacoon so I can try to catch up all the films I've been missing. Sure, it seems like a waste of time reading a review for a movie you saw three years ago but if you're reading this then you probably dont have much else to do anyway. So please enjoy. And for the… Continue
