BET (black entertainment television) was launched on januray 25, 1980. It's programming consisted of shows that would appeal to a more.....urban audience. Since then it has become one of the most popular channels to appear on cable.BET is knowen to play rap and r&b during it's music blocks.This is my question to everyone. Has a channel like BET helped bring hip hop to a more mainstream audience? Or do you think it has more hurt it by praising popular artist instead of those who are talented?See More
