The Last Stand was totally lame -- everybody knows that. It's not even a good airplane movie, and you might say, "Well, of course it's not a good airplane movie -- it's an action movie and action movies seem silly when you watch them on a small headrest screen and listen to it through tiny headphones, the din of the battle scenes sort of blending into the din of the plane's engines." Not that I'm trying to put words in your mouth.
I'm just saying, The Last Stand sucks, but you know who really like it? Joe Morgenstern of the Wall Street Journal, and I think he only liked it because he really has a thing for Hugh Jackman taking off his shirt, which is fine with me, you know, live and let live, but it's no basis on which to evaluate a movie.
The Last Stand really loses it for me when Professor X says about Jean becoming the Phoenix, totally serious, "She preserved herself in a bubble of her own telekinesis" and the guy sitting behind me scoffed, "Oh that's some bullshit."

Very true it was a great performance by Halle. She's just a great actress in my opinion. She could always play a good roll along with Hugh Jackman.
