Well well WELL, the Rock HAS come back to WWE hasn't he?

 

Even though it was pretty obvious who the special host was gonna be, he STILL got the biggest pop Raw has seen in YEARS. Hell, he got the biggest pop any wrestling host has seen in years.

 

Folks, THAT MAN knows how to use a mic. THAT MAN knows how to cut a promo. THAT MAN knows how and when to shoot and to use the crowd..no, let me try that again...to LEAD a crowd.

 

Pay fucking attention Cena, Orton and the Miz. This is the master at work.

I find it funny that on the recent Raw, they had to mention Cena's injury at least 14 times. Folks, it's a hip sprain...not a big deal,but it needs rest if he doesn't want a permanent limp. But the WWE is somehow convinced that if Cena isn't in the show in some way, people won't watch. Oy...

 

Now the idea of Awesome Kong on WWE? Well well well, THAT could be interesting. The 'Diva's division is a flop right now, but with THREE powerhouse females and if Gail Kim can ramp up her abilities again, WWE might finally make it the premeire women's program. Just please please please end the stupid PG-version of the Beautiful People?

 

Oh further note, the first Raw of the year...wasn't bad. It actually had a lot of wrestling and quite good matches. The mini-cage (seen below in the posted video) was stupid as HELL and the last match didn't make sense. Plus the first match starting (for some odd reason) as a handicap match was moronic (and if you listen, you can hear the fans calling them on it), But otherwise it wasn't half bad.

Well well, just saw the video of CM Punk joining the Nexus. Interesting.

 

Concidering that the man that scored #4 on the PWI 500 had pretty much been gone for months and had the SES dismantled by WWE execs, it is DAMNED good to see him back and in control of a major storyline. I never liked the Nexus idea and sorry but Wade and the others are at best B-grade wrestlers and C-grade mics. Punk is an A-grade in both areas (although I still want him to drop the GTS and get something better, like another submission move) so putting him in charge SHOULD make things a lot more interesting.
