This Week On the LEOG: "MAN vs. NATURE!"

Inspired by the movie of Liam Neeson opening a can of whoopass on wolves and winter, 'The Grey' (which turns out isn't actually what the movie is about after all) The League of Extremely Ordinary Gentlemen  will explore all of our favorite survivors of hostile environments.

If you were trapped in a remote area and could survive with one weapon, would you choose something real like a gun or knife you brought with you, or would you go all Fungusmonkey and rig a sweet weapon out of the available materials?

Dear LEOG,

What aspect of Man vs Nature genre do you enjoy more or find more compelling?  Is it the external struggle of Man vs the elements or wildlife?  Or is it the internal struggle of Man vs him/herself, finding the will to live and keep going?

     I don't know a lot about man vs nature films on the whole. My question is are there any man vs nature films were the main character isn't a bad ass or a survivalist?
