If it's crap ... We'll tell you
"Be not afraid of greatness: some are born great, some achieve greatness and some have greatness thrust upon them".
Some started out with nothing more than a hunger for justice and a cheap sewing kit. Others stumbled their way into superpowers without a good-natured Uncle Ben to instill the "With great power..." creedo. All of them will be celebrated this week by the League of Extremely Ordinary Gentlemen as week we sing for the unsung Do-it-Yourself Superheroes!Granted they aren't all genuine superheroes. Some of them are outright douchebags with powers and/or costumes, but they do all represent a more realistic (more cynical, less corporatized) take on the genre.
Also this is a topic where NOBODY should be asking us, "What super power would you have if...? Anything else though, please ask away.
WARNING: Crazy busy week here at Spill.com so this episode of LEOG won't post until Saturday morning. Listen to it while you eat your Cap'n Crunch.
Dear League, what hypothetical senerio would set you on the path to become a crime fighter? For example, you let a criminal go who ends up killing your uncle.
Motherfucker! You mean I have to wait a whole day before I can get my Leog Fix? Goddamn! Well guess I'll check out the lounge geeks in the mean time
I like homemade heroes better than heroes with powers. They are the ones that truly have to dig deep and find strength to fight the real crime. They are the ones that give me hope, not of becoming a hero, but of succeeding at what I need to get done. You can look at Driver in Drive, he takes it upon himself to do what is right, knowing that he might die, and that's the thing with homemade heroes, they accept "real" death.
It's probably too late but the power I would love to have is controlling colors. Where each color and combinations of colors did different things. I got the idea from my autistic brother where red would really mess him up, but he loved neutral and soft colors. He also remembered things because he assigned them colors, which I thought was very good.
A comic I've been writing delves with a guy who can capture potential, so the longer he fights the stronger he gets
I read that totoally wrong but I'm keeping my post up as a mockery to myself
Please for the love of Zombie Jesus, someone in LEOG be a homemade hero and put up this week's LEOG!
