If it's crap ... We'll tell you
This week we take some time to sift through the mass amounts of flame emails to answer some constructive yet interesting questions from our audience. These questions cover things like why Anime is not such a big deal, why professional animators in the Spill Cru don’t watch or talk about anime and why recommending anime to others can be a pain in ze ass…….and let’s not forget how the Academy has acknowledged Anime over the years (lol)
Yes, finally me and Nuansay have a very mixed discussion / review about Soul Eater and Bleach / Naruto……and no we didn’t go off on the latter two again the conversation just seemed to slip back and forth at times.
*As Mentioned….Soul Eater Interview Link
That all seemed to take a couple of hours….who wouda flunk it

Yay new tyrocast! Gwen Stafani refrenced Kite in a music video.
Also the Joseph Kony bastard we were talking about, and the experiment for a method how we, the common people can stop people like him from existing.

Since James Cameron made Aliens, so many movies, TV shows and games have been heavily influenced by its themes and visuals, and it seems that only after Avatar did everyone start making everything 3D. So if there's anyone who can bring anime to Hollywood, it's him...or Christopher Nolan, the man can do no wrong.
I can agree that James Cameron could eventually bring anime to the mainstream when (or if) Battle Angel Alita eventually gets made but I think of right now, the anime-to-silver screen translation is most similar to the superhero movie trait of the '90s. There were a lot of bad adaptations during that time (ex. Spawn, Batman & Robin, Tank Girl) and eventually they would move on to better stuff.
Unfortunately, it could go into the way of the videogame movie adaptation route and most of those titles I seen are either just mediocre or just plain horrible and I hope when anime eventually gets noticed, it doesn't end up going down the tubes and be all but naught.
Hopefully, soon, I tell you a full opinion about this whole situation.
I started watching soul eater, and maybe it's because I was watching it dubbed, but I couldn't get into it. It just seemed really over the top and kinda cliche.
As far as KONY is concerned I'm kinda disappointed at the Spill crew for gloss'n over it. Korey talked about it on ACOCO but I don't think he actually watched the video.
I liked that you guy talked so much about Soul Eater it almost makes me want to give it another try. I can't wait until you guy are talking about an anime I really like.
