Damien Yeager added a discussion to the group Culture Collision PodcastAngel sat in the library, reading a book she had been wanting for a while when a dark shadow blocked out the light. She looked up to find Kurai staring at her in the face. She sighed, not jumping for she pretty much expected to see the troll after all the other times he had shown up, "What do you want now?" she asked, frowning, "Is there a strange pantie shot anime you want me to look at?"
"Ah..." he smiled, "You do read manga, right?"
"And what is the point?" She asked.
"Have you heard of Dojinshi?"
"Of course I have heard of that... most of them are not really that good...." she said, then glared at him, "Don't tell me......"
"You haven't looked at many of them, in fact, you pretty much only looked at one."
"Because I ended up reviewing the anime for it so figured I should at least see the damn manga..." she frowned.
"I got a couple for you.... but your first is this...." he slipped her a small doujinshi with 'Megamix Gravitation' written on the front. She eyed it, then she noticed a word under it, "Oh come on!" she snapped, then lowered her voice, "This is a..."
"Ah yes, it is of course one of those.... but your contract...."
"Shut up..... the sooner I'm done with this the better........." she growled.

A collection of hard core Yaoi one shots with the characters from Gravitation.
My Thoughts: Well, I don’t normally review doujinshi (half the time I have no clue what to talk about with it) most of the time its because I know it was created for the fans and so for the fans it shall remain. But, I have been told that it would be better to review some of them just because and to see if I would really like it. I have to say, I like this better then the Boku no Pico stuff I had to review before! I actually liked Gravitation and so this actually got my little fan girl heart racing because of how cute it was. It’s cut into four chapters, each one about love that kind of goes over the top. I will break them up into each chapter because it kind of changes depending on what storyline you want to read. The chapters really aren’t connected so you don’t lose anything with just reading one of the stories.
The first one is of Shuichi and Yuki, and pretty much Shuichi narrating everything that he and Yuki normally do. I got to say, this is a little bit of a sighing moment for me. I would of liked it better if they had not brought the fact that Shuichi and Yuki ‘normally’ do stuff like this because first off, it takes away from the main story of the anime and the normal manga. In fact, I think there was only three scenes hinted throughout the whole anime that put them together in bed and actually doing it. This is where you notice, this is just for the fans and I would of loved to leave it at that but I’m a damn reviewer and must review what I’ve been asked to review. Anyway, there really is no story here, no reason why they would be doing this and pretty much they just start with the sex. (Minus points) The artwork is alright except that it shows every gross scene of the sex and ‘other things’ that makes me feel gross for even looking at the thing.( Minus Points) The only thing I consider something they did good on was the attention to the characters personality it seems. They made sure that Yuki was still a asshole and Shuichi still seemed to become his little toy. The characters have been drawn to where they are recognizable and close enough to the style of the manga. And I do like this one picture they have of Yuki all sweaty and saying Shuichi’s name, its rather a subtle picture at the end but its rather cute.
The next one is more like a role-playing one where Shuichi and Yuki are considered married and Yuki comes home one day seeming off. Shuichi looks way too much like a little kid to even think he was a teen, and just a lot of the artwork feels off. Even the ending feels like he’s a little kid going to school rather then an adult song writer. It’s a lot worse change then the first. Again we start out with sex and this one is even more intense then the last, and it just makes me a little more sick because they took away the characters personalities. When I say this, I mean that this one has a stupid little twist that a ghost is hunting the two and taken over Yuki’s body. For some reason, a friend of mine really likes this but it feels very forced to me.
The next one has a small bit of story behind it, and it involves Yuki’s past, explaining a bit of why Yuki might hate Katazawa and yet also love him a little. Although we get more information on it, its all fan based and you can tell because of how they just wrote it. Again we seem to fall into the whole start with sex thing in this and it bothers me. Why can we not have a actual story line for this? Well, half way threw, we end up going back to present day and Yuki is with Seguchi and his actual brother… Tatsuha Uesugi… WHY AM I REVIEWING THIS AGAIN? *glares at Kurai* Fine… anyway, artwork is again alright in a sense except for the fact that Yuki is first Pedo bait, then as he is in the present time frame, he still looks like a child to the other two when Seguchi to me looked more like a child to Yuki. Also, Tatsuha in the anime and manga didn’t know about Yuki’s problem with Katazawa or at least not that I remember so it breaks the story.
Then its Shuichi and Yuki and while that happens, we have Hiro and Fujisaki ended up having a little fun as well. This chapter is cute in a way, but the faces of the ‘bottoms’ look way too cutesy then they should. The whole art style that was placed within it makes Shuichi and Nakano as grade schoolers rather then the teenagers and up they really should be. This bothers me like the problem I had with Boku no Pico in that it feels almost pedo-ish. Even in my head while knowing the characters actually are teens, I can’t get away from it! Now, I guess I can understand a little behind the character Fujisaki looking like that because he’s only 16 in the anime and manga but a character should still not look like a little kid when in a hard core Hentai manga! The sexual art pieces… they are rather dirty, hard core style pieces. Perfect if you like that stuff but then again, if you’re not interested in that stuff, then it kind of makes you feel sick. I know I sound like a hypocrite when I say that seeing this stuff is somewhat interesting to me, but I love more of the hint style where they only hint at things going on. When you draw the whole pervy scene, it loses its appeal to me.
All in all, its ok for a doujinshi all about sex, but that’s pretty much it. If you get past all its flaws, the manga can be a big turn on; on the other hand, the problems I have with the manga are a bit bigger in my mind that I just can’t get away from. I like when the characters keep their personalities and when we have more story then a fuck all style of artwork.
