Permalink Reply by The Humungus on April 26, 2012 at 7:27am I would say yes. If they've seen any of the lead-up films, I don't think there's anything in Avengers any darker / scarier than in those.
Permalink Reply by Travis Pickle on April 26, 2012 at 8:11am cool he loves Ironman although the torture bits at the start of 1 were too intense for him at the cinema we thought so he saw it on DVD but I wanted to tek him to see this on IMAX

Permalink Reply by Mr. E on April 26, 2012 at 10:17am Looking forward to it, but still with tempered expectations, because I haven't been as crazy about the previous Marvel flicks, with the exception of Iron Man 1, as you guys were. I hope you're right on though.
Permalink Reply by Travis Pickle on April 26, 2012 at 10:43am yep IM1 nailed it all the way! I just want a good HULK and I have yet to hear any negatives on that so...
;)
Permalink Reply by Mr. E on April 26, 2012 at 11:28am Yup, to me IM1 was the only truly great film in this run up. IM2 was just awful, and the rest have just been serviceable. Not horrible, but nothing really great either.
Permalink Reply by Mr. E on April 26, 2012 at 11:20am I do want to mention that I LOVE it how you guys go out of your way to avoid the 3D screenings.... Like the Grinch, my heart grows a size when I hear that. :-)

Permalink Reply by Mr. E on April 26, 2012 at 12:33pm Ya, they both had great moments, but taken as a whole, I felt both of them kind of petered out with stories that just left me kind of un-engaged and bored.
Iron Man 1 so far is the only one that kept me entertained from the moment it started till the moment it ended. I don't even know how many times I've seen it. None of the others make me want to re-watch them.
