It’s official: The Legend continues! Nickelodeon has picked up a second season of the animated adventure series The Legend of Korra, EW has learned. After averaging 3.8 million viewers for Season 1, Book 1, which concluded June 23, the Avatar: The Last Airbender sequel is receiving a second-season order of 26 episodes that presumably will be divided into two parts called Books 3 and 4, bringing the total number of episodes to 52.

The series is already set to return in 2013 with the premiere of Season 1, Book 2 (which consists of 14 previously ordered episodes), as 17-year-old chosen one Korra (voiced by Janet Varney) has now become a fully realized Avatar. The cast also includes Kiernan Shipka (Mad Men), David Faustino (Married… with Children), and P.J. Byrne (Horrible Bosses).

So Lengend of Korra is half way through its first season I guess or just partially in it, i wonder when it will start showing some more new episodes

So the 3rd episode of Korra was pretty goddamn sweet. An army of Tai-Li like fighters, fire ferrets doing circus tricks, and the mystery of Anon. Only 2 people know the secret of spirit bending (Including the lion-turtle spirit thing), so was Anon really told by the spirit world to get rid of bending? Probably not but he's scary as shit. He kind of reminds me of Slade from Teen Titans with his cerebral ways, confident fighting style, masked face, and smooth voice. And what's this? You say a fight between Korra and Anon is season finale material? Well guess what, they're doing it in the next episode! This is what all series should be like! Fresh ideas while staying true to the world your building upon.

@Stupdendous Man Ahhh I see them now. It's kind of interesting that she'll be struggling with air bending and not fire bending.

@Flounderboy Pretty sure there is, if you look at the new trailer you see some people who look like airbenders, although you don't see them airbending.
