It seems like there's a turning point in every kids life when they see their first R rated film. For me, the rating means they didn't cut back, or try to soften something to make it more family friendly. I think everyone has that point, where they see a movie that is nothing like they've been allowed to see before, whether it has graphic violence, hard core sex, or explicit suggestions to go fuck yourself.

My first R movie was Office Space

It was the greatest movie I'd seen up to that point in my life. It was hilarious and used the English language to it's fullest.

The Thing

I remember being scared out of my living mind and saying to my father "I never want to watch another R-rated movie again!."
The movie still scares the hell out of me.
I had an experience like that too, but it was with The Usual Suspects.
???? haha Why????
Amen reverand that movie scared the bejezus out of me when i snuck in to watch it... holy shit even though I love the genre now I still have a tough time watching that movie
Freddy vs. Jason lol, i felt like a badass
The Terminator. It was on New Years Eve when I was eight years old. After some cop confiscated our fireworks, the parents decided that to cheer us all up they would let us watch the movie. I was quite surprised when it showed Linda Hamilton's boobs.
That should be a totally new thread, if it's possible. The first time someone saw nudity in a film.
That was my first R movie too. I remember being very happy about Linda Hamilton's breasts. I was more surprised at the violence.
