If it's crap ... We'll tell you
This is the trailer to Woody Allen's 42nd film, To Rome With Love.
Now, I am a HUGE Woody Allen fan, with Midnight in Paris or Zelig being my absolute favorite of his films. But with this one, I'm a little mixed. On one hand, I feel that there's too many characters and sub plots reaching out for attention, some of the acting looks either bland (i.e. Alec Baldwin) or surrogate Allen (i.e. Jesse Eisenberg), and the humor seems too dependent on one liners (which wouldn't bother me if they had more zing to them). However, the soundtrack seems nice, Rome looks goreous through the digital intermediate, and I'm actually interested in the Roberto Benigni section of the film.
So, what do you guys think?
it has ellen page so it wins allready
well we covered france and italy... maybe london next?
he covered London in Match Point
Barcelona or Budapest? Amsterdam?
and Tall Dark Stranger and Cassandra's Dream
i'll wait for the reviews, Woody Allen films are pretty hit or miss for me. Then again i love seeing a great city shot well, and this seems like good cityscape porn.
This looks like it could be pretty good. Good to see Allen back appearing in his own films too.
