While it may have dragged on a little too long in places, I really enjoyed it. I don't really have a desire to see it again but it was a fun ride.
The A-Team was another film I expected to hate but I ended up really liking. It was a fun action ride. That being said, most people tend to think it is bad, and I can understand that. Sometimes I like brainless action, I just don't want it to be annoying like Michael Bay.
Permalink Reply by Cropsey on December 19, 2012 at 11:41pm Ha, i share your anti-michael bay sentiment. He truely sucks sweaty balls. I'm constantly amazed at how he gets such huge budgets. And his attempts at comedy, oh lord... embarrasing.
I personally didn't enjoy A-Team that much and haven't seen the avengers yet!
The Dark Knight (not 'rises')was another film i wasn't expecting to be that great and wow, was really shocked.
Permalink Reply by Dialtribe on December 19, 2012 at 11:59pm Dark Knight I was on the fence about going in. I didn't like the look of the Joker, but I ended up really liking the character as he was a totally separate kind of character from the traditional comics or media but kept enough elements. He became his own figure and frankly made Batman a side character in his own movie.
As for Michael Bay, I am not sure if I am the best judge as I have only seen his Transformers movies and some of Armageddon. His approach to action is just directionless and his characters are nauseating. I do hold some animosity towards him as I am a huge Transformers (Not the 80s as I came in on Beast Wars) and TMNT fan, and I hate what he is doing with them.
Jason X lol
Really, i went into it ready to tear this apart, but i ended up loving the fact that it knew what it was... Some rediculous Bull-Shit!!! It tore itself apart for me.., greatness.

I kinda checked out of Friday the 13th after part 6. But i'm gonna see it! I still do a friday 13th marathon every couple of years:) Bit of a crazy slasher fan.
Nice handle by the way. 'It's all in the reflexes'. Unless Jack Burton is your real name! haha
