I absolutely love this movie, so much that it has become one of my most favorites. However, I will admit the first time I watched it I didn't get it AT ALL and really thought it was a ripoff. I thought I'd give it a second try though and watched it again, and I was really surprised; I actually understood it. People all over the U.S. think it's amazing, including me, so I'd like to ask: What is your personal opinion on the Dark Knight?

I didn't undestand what you meant with not understanding. I've seen it and it wasn't amazing, good but not amazing and I bet my feelings wont sange after seeing it second time.
I meant at the end...Batman becoming the bad guy?

But as I said the second time I watched it I understood it.
im so glad to see that im not the only one that didnt love this movie.

some good reading

Than god! Good link. Finally someone has but my toughts to text. Little exaggerated perhaps. It actually went like that. I really don't know what all the hassle is all about. It was so long and boring. Now everything is about Joker, Ledger and Joker.
Simply amazing..
Iron Man is a much better film.

I think Batman Begins had a better plot than The Dark Knight. But the action scenes are way worse, it had all of these zoomed in shots of fighting... so damn confusing.

The picture loses it's charm when objection isn't used.

I think TDK could could do without the ferry scene. I mean the message about humanity was too obvious, it's more effective if film makers make their moral messages more subtle.
Its a BATMAN MOVIE and you think it wasn't subtle enough? Your lucky that there was subtly at all.
It was pretty good. . . Im just putting it out there but some people (possibly on this site) maybe out speaking against it because they want to distance themselves from the bandwagon.
The best experience i've ever had in a movie theatre was seeing The Dark Knight at the midnight showing. My favorite movie of all time.
I really enjoyed the movie.

Great acting, great action sequences, and an interesting storyline. Although, I think that a person cannot really 'get' the movie the first time around. A second viewing, I think, will allow the audience to critically analyze the film.

But, if someone does not view The Dark Knight as favorably as I do, then why should I get upset? Everyone is entitled to their own views.
