If it's crap ... We'll tell you
Ye Gods! Verily, we had such a fun time watching THOR last week that I pray ye join the League of Extremely Ordinary Gentlemen as we bow down and devote this week's show to Gods, Godlings and Heores of Myth & Legend.
Favourite Harryhausen creation?
Dear ye gentle gods and goddess of the LEOG, were you all to be as powerful as the Gods and Legends themselves, what would be the first thing you would ever do with your unlimited power?
-Jordan, LONG LIVE THE LEAGUE!
I feel like we've been hit by a lot in the way of Greek/Roman and Norse mythology in our time. As much as I enjoyed Hercules, once Disney does an adaptation, I've pretty much been indoctrinated. I was always curious about Egyptian mythology and wondered why it hasn't been adapted into other media more often. Besides Mummies Alive (I know, I'm showing my age), what adaptations of Egyptian mythology can you all suggest?
The Mummy cartoon series that came after The Mummy movies?
*runs and hides*
If you had to spend eternity in a heaven or hell from mythology, which one would it be.
Alright, League, I'll refrain from bringing up my webcomic based on Greek mythology this time (wait-- I just did, didn't I?) and just get to my question:
What is your favorite mythological adaptation, be it movie, comic, or otherwise?
Personally, I enjoyed the Disney Hercules movie, despite it's inaccuracies. I mean, who can dislike the music of Alan Menken? SATAN-worshipers, that's who!
If the LEOG members were gods each ruled an element in a Olympian type thing who would rule what. EX Kat would the God of Launguege
What would each one of you be the god of? Ex. Zeus god of thunder.
