Getsuga59 posted a statusYeah, I know. Everybody says the Oscars are "rigged" or "bullshit" or "don't mean anything", but let's be honest. When you come across a movie you've never seen and it the "Winner of Best Picture" tagline you do look it at with a bit more prestige.
With the 84th Academy Awards right around the corner it's the perfect time for the League of Extremely Ordinary Gentlemen to take a look at past winners.
We welcome your questions, of course. Just remember that this show is all about the ol' classics. Save any bitching about the 2012 Oscars for our live Spill Oscar podcast this weekend.

Dear LEOG
What catagories do you think need to be added to the Academy Awards, and what films do you think should have won them?

With the Oscars seeming to be unsure of keeping 10 movies for the Best Picture category, would there be a category you would rather see 10 nominations for, maybe to get more specific recognition? Like the Actor categories and then maybe Sam Rockwell would've got the damn respect he deserves for Moon.

What's the one Best Picture winner that you're embarrassed to admit you've never seen?
For example, I went 27 years without seeing either The Godfather I or II. For many years I just bold-faced lied to my friends and family whenever the topic of the film came up.

Is there an Oscar Best Picture movie that you think didn't deserve there award. And What Movie would you have preferred to win that Oscar in that year?
Thanks LEOG

In recent years movies with Leonardo DiCaprio have been nominated but not winners, also him as an actor has been nominated multiple time. Do you think the Academy is openly snubbing or not giving the award to Leonardo DiCaprio movie?
PS
Thanks for answering my question last week. Dr. Nerd Love great advice.

Your likely to mention this but could you tell us what your biggest snub in history was, and what the most underrated category is that hardly gets noticed at the oscars.
Thanks and may the league continue to be the only academy I put stock in. LONG LIVE THE LEAGUE!

Has there ever been a category that you feel needs to be included in the award line up?
Thanks, I look forward to watching the show along side the site, and LONG LIVE THE LEAGUE.

In the members' esteemed opinions, what are the most over hyped awards at the Oscars? On the other hand, what are the most under appreciated awards at the Oscars?

Are there any potential award winners or award presenters who you'd like to see do something "off the script" or even have a wardrobe malfunction?

after reading the whole Sacha Baron Cohen "banned" ordeal, has there been Oscar shenanigans in the past that made you just scratch your head in confusion?
Sincerely,
CH Gorog
P.S. Joby Talbot and Daft Punk were robbed by not having their scores nominated for their respective years.
