The Grey (Movie Review)
CAPSULE (3 1/2 out of 4 Stars) - Great movie that's about far more than a group of Alaskan oil workers persecuted by wolves as they try to make it safety after seemingly randomly surviving an airplane accident in the frozen Alaskan wilds. Snow, cold, and grey uncertainly have figured prominently in a fair number of films in recent years -- The American, Hanna and The Girl With a Dragon Tattoo as well as superficially "lighter films" (the Twilight Saga and Red Riding Hood). After 10 years of war, and economic uncertainty settling in for the long term, is Hollywood (re)discovering its "inner Swede"? ;-)
