First I want to say thank you to all the members who have welcomed me to the Forums. Every one so far is pretty great. This is probably my favorite site.

Now onto the topic some comic book movie talk

As mentioned before in the news, there will be no spiderman four, well this time around anyways. Now I am a big fan of reboots even ones that may seem too soon. But look how great the Hulk recast was. I have seen it a dozen times and can't get tire of it. " You are making me angry you would not like to see me when I am hungry".

I personally am not a fan of the Spider-Man movies. I hated the cast of all the characters with the exception of Harry, Aunt May and Uncle Ben. So I for one am in favor of a reboot. I would cast David Henrie
As Peter Parker. This dude is only 21 so he is not too old to play a teenager and he is already built like a super nerd. From what I have been able to find that want to cast a very young group of actors and will expand more on his origin story which leads me to think that the source material they are using is Ultimate Spider-Man which was fantastic. David Henrie I feel would also be a great Robin.

Yes Robin the Boy Wonder. Chris Nolan is making a third Batman and so far everything points to there being at least an appearance of the Boy Wonder Dick Grayson. We have our Two Face and he is great. Now even though Chris has come out to say there will be no Robin, his source materials say differ and so do many fans of the character.

They plan on making an Avengers Movie I say bring on a JLA movie too. Ryan Reynolds as Green Lantern I think is a home-run hit.

what do you guys think of all of this.

Yeah Spider-Man 3 could need a good remake if only the studio would let the director have more of his own opinions in the movie. The Ultimate Spider-Man is a good way to go in my opinion,

when it comes to Batman i dont think a robin character would look right in the story as Batmans sidekick. On the other hand to show robin so the fans know that he is in the Batman universe is a good idea.

Ryan Reynolds as Green Lantern may also work but he is already Deadpool.
Hes a legacy actor and a talented dude and with the right timing he could do both. I am all for what ever movies that keep him from making any more comedies that could potentially ruin his career. I really want to see Robin coz I really want to there to be a Night-wing and Teen Titans movie.
Nightwing, Robin and Batwoman does those really fit in the Christopher Nolan's Batman universe? When in comes to those and a Teen Titans movie it should perhaps be done as a separate thing from the dark Nolan universe.

On the other hand i agree when it comes to Ryan Reynolds he is more talented with the super hero/villain characters then the comedy roles.
Oh yeah totally separate from the Dark Knight Universe but I also think that this would be a good time to sorta re invent Robin yet again into something like a young Bruce Wayne who has a lot of internal struggles and chooses to let out his anger with the use of his fists but has a great fear of going to far.

I would like to see a mix of the relationships between Slade (death-stroke) and Robin in the Teen Titans animated series and Bruce Wayne and Terry McGinnis from Batman Beyond.
ryan reynolds is all wrong for Hal jordon. He'd make a perfect kyle reyner though. Nathan Fillion would have been a much better fit.

AS for batman, let nolan do whatever he want's. if he says we don't need a robin in his next movie. then we don't need a robin.

AS for the spidey reboot they should tell the origin story within the opening credis like in the incredible hulk. We all know how he became spiderman we don't need another origin story. we need to expand his story, and his universe, not address stuff we've already seen.
I think Ryan has the right attitude and looks for a Either an older Kyle Rayner or Hal Jordan .

Ryan Did a movie when he was really young where he played two characters. The movie was this kid who got into an accident and lost his brain so they put the brain of a serial killer in his body and he played both characters well.

I really like Ryan Reynolds but I don't exactly see him as Hal. I think they will actually "create" a new personality for Hal and combine some characteristics that make sense for him in the movie with other characters. I hope it works out well so we will see.

We will not see a live action JLA movie. WB cannot wrap their heads around it and honestly, you don't want that. They will just mess it up. I think they could do a 3D animated movie with possible sort of realistic design. Almost like saying give Bruce Timm a 3D studio and see what they come up with.

No Robin in the next Batman movie. There is no point. The story doesn't lead that way at all. Remember, this is still Batman's first few years and Robin didn't come into it till much later. There are plenty of stories they can tell and that was the problem with the old Batman movies, they sort of just put him in there so they could just do that story, even though Chris O'Donnell was like as old as Bruce Wayne.

Hopefully they announce who is playing Captain America. I am hoping for Chris Pine, from Star Trek. Has the looks and can act the part of a leader. He is also young enough to play a young Steve Rogers before he becomes Captain America. I also hate the title, "The First Avenger: Captain America". The reason they are doing it is for overseas market because it has America in it. Just call it Captain America, people will be ok with it.

Thor is also shaping up to be much more epic than people had originally considered with their cast. I just really like the Universe they are creating for these characters and hope that after Iron Man 2 comes out, it will green light alot of projects that may connect to this Universe like Black Panther and others.
Thor is my Fav Comic of all including Ultimate Thor. I still have mixed feelings about Chris Hemsworth. I always thought the part should go to Vladimir Kulich. I think Chris Pine is too small to be Captain America but is a better choice than some of the names being tossed around like Leonardo Drcrappio and even though I think he is great and his performance in Reign of Fire blew me away Matthew Mcconaughey. There is some dude named Ben Ryan who thinks he is Captain America but he can't act his way out of a wet paper bag. But he looks the part, The guy is Huge.

I say if they can't get the right guy to be these characters then don't make the Movie.

I think the new Captain America should be part three not a reintroduction to the character.
Pine can bulk up and you don't need to be super buff in the movie. I mean The super soilder stuff was in The Incredible Hulk and they showed how they did it. Should be fine and he would have the suit.
