If it's crap ... We'll tell you
Longleke posted a discussionlol hipster mentality.
In all seriousness, I think we've all been here. There's that point in which that one show that everyone is watching and raving about as being so great you find isn't even as good as everyone says it is. Or that you just think it flat-out sucks. At the moment:
My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic. Sorry I'm just unable to understand why the entire internet thinks this is the god tier of animation. It's not that well animated, I really don't like the style. The writing is good, but it's nothing new for a kid's show to have actually intelligent writing behind it. I just... don't get it. This is the show that broke /b/. That 4chan had to set up rules because of people flooding the boards with posts on the show. THIS was it. I mean again, it's an okay show but... holy crap, it isn't the greatest thing in the history of the world like everyone is making it out to be. :/
How about you guys?

It's really well made, but it isn't grabbing me emotionally.
Permalink Reply by NikkiBell on August 14, 2011 at 2:09pm Jersey Shore - All of my classmate at university love this show. I don't get it. I find the people on it unlikeable and stereotypes.
Glee - I liked the first half of the first season, but it went down hill after that. The characters aren't very likeable, and if they are likeable they are hardly seen. The show focuses too much on just a few characters; and it feels like they are telling the same stories week after week.
Dragonball Z - They fight a new foe for twelve episodes, have one or two episodes of rest, fight a new foe for twelve episodes. Rinse and repeat. Also, if you turn on the CC, every sentence ends with an exclamation point.
Naruto, One Piece, and Bleach - I just don't see the appeal.

Big Bang Theory
Two and a Half Men (basically anything Chuck Lorre produces, i hate)
Jersey Shore (for obvious reasons)
CSI
NCIS (and all the other cookie cutter, magic forensics crime shows)
The Office
Family Guy
The Cleveland Show
American Dad (i don't find them all that funny)
Entourage (i might give this one another chance, but the premise itself never really interested me, i was never fascinated by that side of Hollywood)

Permalink Reply by Neutral3 on August 19, 2011 at 8:47pm How I met your mother - a ripoff of Friends and adding a Two and a Half Men vibe with Neil Patrick Harris has his talent wasted
Jersey Shore - the main defence for this show is that it's funny. HOW IS A GTL AND GETTING DRUNK COMEDIC?
Two and A Half Men - crude, misogynisitic and the characters have no development at all
The Big Bang Theory - another one out of the Chuck Lorre department. unlike its popular predecessor, it's mind numbingly repetitive and I really loathed the Sheldon character. You cannot identify with him
Glee - Please Ryan Murphy. Don't make your puppets do an autotuned rendition of Radiohead or the Beatles.
Any Seth Macfarlane show - enough said.

...Anti-dentite.
Right.
Jersey Shore: Do I need to say anything more, I didn't think so.
Family Guy: I do find the episodes from seasons 1-mid 4 good/funny, but know it's just not as funny anymore. Plus the animation likes like crap.
All the shows on Fox News: It's misleading and just plain disgraceful.

Permalink Reply by TheLizardhead on August 27, 2011 at 11:32am any Dragonball anime (most notably Dragonball Z). Seriously, even when I was a kid, I thought the show was SUPER-overrated.
But I like that 'It's over 9000!!!!!!!' meme
