Permalink Reply by Artie Fufkin on June 14, 2012 at 6:41am i concur Lab, i was there to bear witness to the cinematic awesomeness of 'the boxers omen' and it truely is a thing of wonder. starts off as a lovely tale of revenge (Bollo breaks the protagonists brothers back in a boxing match) then descends into unbriddled lunacy without batting an eyelid, it does however come back to the revenge aspect if only briefly before more insanity splatters the screen. btw the chase scene with a monk, a big hammer and a bat skeleton made me so happy to be alive to witness such beauty. as your attourney i advise you to see this at once!
Permalink Reply by Lab Rat on June 14, 2012 at 6:49am From the bits of footage I saw it left me thinking this was a glimpse into an alternate universe where Jodorowsky directed Kickboxer 2: The Road Back.
No offense to Pyun, who I love dearly.
Permalink Reply by Artie Fufkin on June 14, 2012 at 12:37pm on the disc were abot 12 Shaw bros trailers including this one which I MUST HAVE NOW
one guilty pleasure i used to have was the original mighty morphin power rangers (the pink one did it for me) but this looks better by a big margin.
but also another 12 random trailers from over there from the time and a few gaga ones that deserve a viewing too

Permalink Reply by steven cowie on June 15, 2012 at 4:16am Ha hahaha good call, Bewitched is the 1st apparently (TBO is a "sort of" sequel....) I've just always gravitated towards odd films...Lemora, 5000 Fingers of Dr T, Desperate Living etc. for me it's the joy of discovering something that makes me reevalute the very core of my being haha. Am hopefully finally getting to see Zombie Flesh Eaters at the cinema in August, that i can't wait for....the splinter in the eye especially.....

Permalink Reply by Matthew Mustin on June 14, 2012 at 6:59pm I didn't really like this one. I mean, it was decent enough, but just SO FUCKING HEAVY. Worth seeing for the performances, especially by Kate Winslet (my favourite actress), Jackie Earle Haley and Patrick Wilson (who's surprisingly great). BUT, the narration nearly ruined it. It's not typical movie narration, it's like somebody's reading an audio book. It felt sometimes like I was watching something with described video.
low Matinee (regular Matinee without the invasive and unnecessary narration)
Permalink Reply by Artie Fufkin on June 14, 2012 at 8:59pm i'm going to break the rules a bit here as i only watched the first 30 minutes of this due to time restraints but will finish it Very Very Soon believe me

Permalink Reply by Einrick Quiznos on June 14, 2012 at 9:39pm I've seen it a while back. It was pretty sad. They're ideals are honorable, but their methods are too strange. No joke, I really do feel bad for some of them.
Permalink Reply by Artie Fufkin on June 15, 2012 at 3:51am Master legend seems a bit pervy though i think it's not in a rapey way, some of the masks are cool and regardless of how sad/wierd they may be it takes huge balls to go out in public dressed like that i guess
